While looking over the toplist for Lesbian I noticed something that seemed odd. How can a story that has only been up for 10 days alread have over 350 votes? Does that sound excessive to anyone else?

What kind of a score did it have and did you by chance read any of it???

Add my top two stories together and they don't total that many votes and they've been up a hell of a lot longer than 10 days....

I'm sure there are people who've gotten that many votes in ten days though. I've gotten 200 or so in that amount of time, but never quite that many.

If it gets totally pulled for an edit, the votes will start all over again at none. If it's a regular edit, I don't think it gets put back on the list of new stories.

It's in the high 4.8's range. And no, I haven't read it yet. But I have read a couple of her other works and they are pretty good. The ratings may be completly accurate.

I just want to know how to do that.

My only Lez submission os at about the same number of votes but it's been up for months.

She has a bunch of other submissions on the toplist that are also doing very well. I wonder if helps to hook readers with a great first few stories, then keep putting out more quickly. I don't put stuff out there that often or write consistantly in one category, so I don't have droves of regular readers like some authors on Lit.

I'd say that's probablly closest to the mark. Keep the submissions comming and keep them hot. It seems to be working well for her.

I wish I could write them that fast, or that good.

Same here. Getting a story out within a time frame set for a contest is practically impossible for me. Maybe when the kiddo is in school, things will be different. As it is now, I'm writing in between making chicken nuggets and playing HotWheels.

I'd almost guarantee it will. The same thing happened during the Halloween Contest, when a certain story had over 150 votes after being posted for 1 day. A sweep knocked it back into the reasonable range.
