Votes: How many, how fast?

My latest story doesn't seem to be running up votes as quickly as some of the others I have posted in the past, but quite frankly I post so infrequently that I'm not sure what is normal. Currently I'm at about 40 votes in 4 days. Is that more or less than usual? I realize that many catagories accumulate votes/views faster than others.

How fast did you latest submission rack up votes? Catagory?

I doubt I do either. I submit far to infrequently ot have any real loyal readers.

40 in 4 days? Only one of my stories has over 40 votes. After more than a year.

My latest story has only 16 votes in total in eight weeks.

Must be targeting all the wrong categories or somehing.

Most of my stories aren't high in votes, but I submitted a fetishy/bdsm/loving wives story a couple weeks ago and over 70 votes the first few days (not necessarily high ones, but that's another matter). The story was on the first page of New stories, though, so that probably played a part as well as the category. My story previous to that only has 24 votes and it's been out there for months. So, I think a lot of variables go into voting.

Seriously, it really depends.

My latest is a short piece of smut, 31 votes and 4.61 score. Which is a little better than average for my short pieces of smut.

My longer, more involved pieces usually get a lot more votes and better scores. Although I'm still not sure what I did right for my best piece. 269 votes and 4.85 score.

Yeah, I'm bragging. Sue me.

I think it's the category alot of times. Most of my stories had well over 50 votes in the first week; those that didn't get them the first week most likely still don't have many votes.

MC has a very loyal following, I suspect that may have someting to do with many of my past stories racking up so many votes so fast. This one seems slower but apparently it's still pretty fast.
