By the way, Britney Spears, Carmen Electra, and Jennifer Lopez are definitely out. Those three mental giants can't stop chewing their gum long enough to be sexy!

I agree. Intellegence and humor are necessary ingredients for someone, male or female, to be sexy. Most, if not all, the women on your list lack one or both of those characteristics.

A lot of those listed are not "ladies" in my sense of the word.:D

I'm going to nominate Julie Andrews as the sexiest woman in the world. In her younger days, she appeared in many films as the leading lady opposite some very sexy men, and held her own!

Film doesn't do her justice, however, and in person, she is truly mesmerizingly beautiful! She has traveled through her career in such an elegant way as well, and now that she's in her 70s, her beauty still shows through.

Oman, thanks for the nomination, but you're not being objective! ;)

well your right there, if you are going back to when women were women with class,grace and could pull off being sensual without exposing ones self then I would have to say Katherine Hepburn (excuse me if the spelling of her name is wrong) I loved watching her movies and how she aged so gracefully:)

Speaking of old timers, you can't eliminate Audrey Hepburn from the list. Also Julie Chrisitie in her day was incredibly hot. Elizabeth Taylor in her 20's and 30's was unbelievable. Kim Bassinger when she was younger. Kelly Lebrock even know. And Yancy Butler --not too well known, but an incredibly sexy lady.

Jennifer Tilly has an incredibly sexy attitude, and despite often playing the role of a moron, she is actually quite bright. In fact, I consider Jennifer Tilly and Burt Reynolds to be two of the highest IQ actors in the business. Reynolds is almost Carl Sagan brilliant in his insights, but unfortunately he just doesn't make the cut as a sexy lady. :)

Lets not forget Ann Margret who even after her terrible fall still remained beautiful, Doris Day, Connie Francis and Connie Stevens, Lucille Ball I always thought she was very beautiful and sexy in her own right, Mary Tyler Moore:D
