I was expecting a montage, complete with overturesque musical accompaniment, showcasing all the many wonderful things accomplished for the American people, by the Republican Party over the last two years, since they not only had the Prez, but control over the senate and house of reps.


Nope. Just something to play pre-Trump, to the sour-pussed MAGA hat-wearing rally crowds, get their teeth gnashing and chanting ‘Lock her up!’.


Slinging mud from down in the swampy muck is all you can do, I suppose, when you’ve accomplished nothing in two years, and have nothing to show but tax cuts for the rich and unaffordable healthcare, heading into midterms.


So starts the season of negative ads and misinformation.
