Am I crazy? I’ve tried to use the Volunteer Editor contact function recently, but I can’t get it to work. I paste in my message to the VE, and when I’m ready to send it, the only button I see is in the lower right corner: Write? The button isn’t even active. By comparison, the See More button turns blue when you put your cursor over it.

I used the new contact function successfully back in May (for the first time), but I can’t remember exactly how the page worked re the submit button, etc.

Instead of pasting your message into the window, type your message there. I just opened a random VE's page and yes, the Write button wasn't active. All it took was to type a few characters in the window and it then became active. I also pasted some text into the window and the Write button also became active then.

If that fails for you, you can always search for the VE's ID and PM them. Hope this helps.

Hey, thanks for the tip. I had already tried typing in the box, but the Write button didn't change. Maybe I don't have the right mojo? Back to using the old methods like you suggested.

In the bad old days I always shunned the VE Contact method, which everyone said never/rarely worked, and sought out the users profile contact tab. This tab is nominally for contacting authors, but it works for any Lit user - assuming they have a current email address on file with Lit, which may not be true for older members. I would also hit them with a PM, but many users don't allow PMs or even know about them - or have never set up a forum profile.

Sorry about the issue.

Are you using IE?

We are having some issues with advanced Lit features in IE recently. The number of Lit members using IE is decreasing, and MS is going to end their support for IE, but we will try to keep supporting IE11 for as long as we can.

If you are on IE, you might try Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Brave, TOR, or any other browser to see if that resolves the issue.

We hope to have those issues fixed soon for our friends on IE, sorry again! :D

About 50% of the people who contact me to edit for them send me requests through my user profile. I take them either way.

Ah, guilty as charged – still using an old computer with IE 11 while transitioning to a new one. Mainly cuz it’s been handy to keep all things erotic off the new one which is more likely to get used by others from time to time.

Sadly the Firefox on my old computer has gotten compromised by some weird malware that redirects to sketchy website(s), and I haven’t wanted to invest the time in clearing that up as long as IE was working. Good incentive to push forward with getting off the old one altogether.

Thanks for addressing this issue, Manu.
