Visual Inspirations for Stories

Visual Inspirations for Stories

The idea of my supernatural duo, Lily and Emma came from my decidedly non-supernatural story, Desire. But their physical appearance in their first own story, Off the Shoulder, was inspired by two amateur photos.

This forum provides lots of inspiration in the photo threads. I was planning a cougar story and this lovely woman appeared in one of the MILF threads. Bang. Just like that, I had Sonya, my FMC. I'm told the model is a well-known professional call girl.

And the second one is a catalog model who became my FMC in another story.

I can't show the video itself, due to forum rules, but someone had re-posted a "Curious Christine" video on PornHub and gave it the caption, "Step-sister gives a hand-job and it accidentally slips in." I watched the video without sound, and my mind immediately began filling in the backstory. It took less than two days for me to write Slippery When Wet and post it here.

I love to visualise my characters and on occasion, attempt to crystallise that vision using photoshop. I'm not sure it helps me write the character any better or differently than I would anyway, but I find it satisfying. I usually find a picture of someone that nearly fits the description, then morph it into someone closer to what my mind's eye sees.

This is Irene Meier (left) morphed into my vision of Saoirse Hennigan from Nature vs Nurture:

And here, gothic model Riya Albert morphed into Militsa, the vampire from Hunter's Moon:

Yes, images make it into my stories. For example, at some point I watched a video that included sex in the front seat of a Mustang, which I normally would think couldn't be done. I've found that cropping up in my stories from time to time. A Summer contest story, "Return to Lake Manitou," probably posting here on Friday, has such a scene in it.

With bucket seats it's a bit difficult to get in the right position, but with a '72 F-100 it was pretty easy.

I have a well of pictures I go to when I’m trying to get inspired. Here are some of them.

Here are a few more.
It's amazing how differently people's minds work. 😲☺️

To me, those are just pictures of random women.

All attractive women, sure... but devoid of any context. I would never see these pictures (or any like them, set in a neutral, modern day setting) and get any particular inspiration to write.

It's cool that you do. It just surprises me how differently people think, I suppose. 😁

I'm not going to post the image here, because some people might find it upsetting.

Do you remember the Las Vegas shooting from a few years back? There was the couple of kids that had just met that day; the guy covered the girl with his body to protect her. Very sweet, very gallant. Social media got ALL up in their business after that, demanding they date, marry, and have kids. It was sweet after a fashion--in that I know it was channeling people's need to see SOMEthing good came from a tragedy-- but also creepy as fuck. Like, let these people live their lives! There was a happy ending to their story, so far at least.

I remembered it a couple of months back and thought, "What if one of them had been married? Would the internet let that stop them? No. No, of course they wouldn't. They'd tear some lives apart just for the drama. They'd want to create their own narrative where their particular pairing comes out on top." Hence the story I'm working on at the moment, an LW story about a couple where the wife had almost cheated, but the marriage could have been mended. Except...

This sounds like it's going to be an amazing story. I already hate it and you 🖕🏻

Fuckin master of drama over here 😭
(I'll probably read it and 5 star it anyway. Cursing you the whole time)

It is interesting how differently our minds work and what we are inspired by. I like to see them in these outfits and imagine what they were thinking putting them on and how they feel while wearing them.

While these women are beautiful, I’m way more inspired by their clothing choices. A lot of my stories are about women embracing new parts of themselves through clothing, in particular trying on more revealing clothing and bikinis and latex outfits.

Very interesting.

I've always wanted to write a sex scene like the in-the-round presentation of Cork and Violet fucking on the bed (edit: in the movie Bound). In-the-round as the being, the camera moving 360 degrees around them as they fuck. Gian Gershons Corky and Jeniffer Tilly's Violet were one hot couple. Violet's well-endowed, well-curved body and Corky's muscular bad-ass dyke bod moved well together. In fact, Gina, as Corky, is very much like Jo and probably what first drew me to her.

I haven't a clue how to write the scene. It was all so natural. Hard to believe they aren't both gay. Sadly, both have said they aren't gay or even bi. They point out it's called acting. But they are gay icons anyway, having both played gay several times.

Additional Edit: the last lines from the film.
Corky: You know what the difference is between you and me, Violet?
Violet: No.
Corky: Me neither.

I have never seen that film, and so I had no clue who.you were talking about.

Now that you've pointed out the source, I still have no idea who these characters are, but at least I know where they're from 😁
