Well, finally someone from Vegas. AND this is my first post! This place is great, you name it we got it. I have been here just over a year and still have about 95% of places that I haven't been yet. If you have never been here, start up a piggy bank or something, because most everyone who comes here has a great time. Hey there wild woman from NC....originally from northern VA here. East coaster who moved out to Sin City just over a year ago. There is just so much that goes on here, that I think we will have to narrow it down to specifics. I might as well just ramble for a bit and throw out some names. Do you know where you are staying? Let me know, that will help you with planning out as far as 'demographics' go....lol-- I actually haven't been to too many clubs, but the ones I did go to, it was just crazy and I had an excellent time. Tons of good looking people every direction you turn. I could give you a description of each club, reputation, theme nights, and so on. Dancing--you can't lose. You'll see several hundreds, if not thousands, dancing at a larger club, esp. after a couple drinks have been consumed...
It also depends on the night of course....some of the clubs are only open on and near the weekends, then you have the afterhour hotspots (Drai's in Barbary Coast is the king of afterhours, and Seven-on the strip near Boardwalk is getting some action too. You'd like Gipsy (just off the strip) with action for "alternatives" and "open-minded"...OBA in Mandalay Bay (Friday nights) as well for swingers...
You've got tons of fancy, top dollar fashionable clubs like Light @ Bellagio, Body English @ Hard Rock, Ghostbar @ Palms, Whiskey Beach @ Green Valley Ranch in Henderson, V Bar @ Venetian, Rumjungle & Foundation Room @ Mandalay....the list goes on and on.........and on, so you'll be gettin your strap on....
Very popular: Studio 54 & Tabu @ MGM, Ra @ Luxor, anything @ The Palms, Curve @ Aladdin.....and tons more.
And I haven't even mentioned the strip clubs (Treasures, Spearmint Rhino = good!), or the cabarets, the "social and health' spas....the more you read about it, you become overwhelmed at how much this place just oozes sex & does everything and anything to glorify it, quickly learning that there are not many barriers. This was totally random, just to 'toss' you some of the names of these places. Actually, I haven't even popped the cherry as far as nightlife goes, you could write books on all of it. Not just nightlife either.....got questions? J

Social Clubs

Well I am still planning on being in Vegas end of Sept,
and trying to find some fun activities in my free time there

Checked into a few of these social clubs you mentioned
(Green Door, Rooster Club) sounds interesting.

Anyone have experience at these places?

Last thing I want to do is spend my night in one
of these places with a bunch of horny guys,
hoping some nice lady shows up.......

Joe, I hear ya. But, fortunately and oddly enough, I haven't run into that problem here in Vegas. Almost every other city I have been to shows a poor guy/girl ratio. There is nothing worse than a guy who wants to meet girls but is stuck in a sausage fest. I still haven't been to lots of clubs out here, but am starting to and I can't recall ever having a shortage of women around. It may be true that the women outnumber the men in Vegas. The women here LOVE getting dressed up and going out. There are times I have been at Hard Rock or the Palms, and had to stop, take a deep breath, and shake my head due to the quality of ass that I see. One of the contributing factors to this would be the fact that women get in free most places, while we are robbed anywhere from $10 to $40 to get into a club. Usually it is $10 or $20 at the nicer ones, but if you know the nightlife here, you can find places that won't charge you to get in. I may have not answered what it is you are looking for, but let me know for any specifics because I'll make sure to get a good answer. Cheers, JC
