All about timing Good Sir. As of now there is nothing on my schedule for next weekSounds like you have quite a busy schedule. Will there be any lasses to flirt with Thursday night?

Appreciate the update. EnjoySurry County. Right off Rte 10. This is the first year, and online tickets are sold out. So hopefully next year will be bigger, and they can accommodate a real crowd.
I have never heard of Surry county. I found it has a population of 6,561. When you pass one of your neighbors on the road, you will have to wonder if they are a Lit member. Got to be more than two people from Surry county on Lit.Surry County. Right off Rte 10. This is the first year, and online tickets are sold out. A few pints and a few flirtatious glances at the lassies and who knows. Once upon a time when I was a young lad, I was out with a buddy. There were two very attractive women sitting over from us so he sent them two beers. A few minutes after the beers arrived, the girls boyfriends showed up. My buddy walked over and picked up the beers he had sent over. I almost died from laughing. All about timing Good Sir. As of now there is nothing on my schedule for next week. As far as the “ lassie’s”go… Hope Sorings Eternal. But the Bills have a better chance of winning the Super Bowl the me & the ladies

Funny story, thanks for sharing it. Sadly I’ve noticed over the last few years I very rarely see a lady out on her own. t least theA few pints and a few flirtatious glances at the lassies and who knows. It has been a long time since I have traveled for work but I remember when I use to travel to Atlanta, there was usually at least one woman alone at the hotel bar having a drink. Not that they were looking for anything but usually they would chat until they finished their glass of wine.Funny story, thanks for sharing it. I am the same way. Not usually interested in making small talk with other guys. Don't you hate that. One seat next to you and some guy comes and takes it.My story from last night is the complete opposite. Only one seat left at the bar. The fellow I sat next to was already 2 sheets to the wind ( 7;00pm). Kept trying to engage me in conversation, even offering to by a drink. Just tried to be polite & focus on the music. Thankfully after about 1/2 an hour he got up & wobbled out. Younger guy, early 30’s with a Marine tattoo on his arm. Music & beer were both good, but a slim crowd after 8:00. Still, I enjoyed myself. There was a most attractive lady in the group, dark reddish hair. Played the flute & tin whistle….
I wish I’d known about it!Anybody else excited about the Renaissance Faire at Bacon's Castle?
Making me think of some of the Renaissance fair costumes I have seen over the years. I swear that if the women just sneezed the girls were going to pop right out. That is why I always tried to kick up some dust.I wish I’d known about it!
At least there was some candy for the eyes. The 1st Annual Cider Fest at Frontier Culture Museum was an overwhelming Success. Never seen that many folks there in the past 8 yearsThe weather being 70 & breezy certainly help. And having 3 Cider Mills & 2 Wineries provide the “ refreshments” Certainly helped. Wore my Sabres Polo shirt with the old “ Goats Head ” logo & it worked. Ran into 6 folks with WNY roots/connections. Yes there were also number of attractive ladies, dressed fir the sunny weather. Sadly they were all with somebody

Yes the “ eye Candy” is always appreciated, & the cider most refreshing. At least there was some candy for the eyes.
I was in France back in August. Did an all day tour of Normandy. Many of the bomb craters are still visible. Looking at how they aligned in a straight line, it is easy to look up and imagine the planes flying over and dropping their bombs. The town of Sainte-Mère-Église still showed signs of the battle, pock marks in the bricks, bent steel fence pickets. Got to the American cemetery just as they were doing taps and lowering the flag. Listening to the trumpet and seeing all those rows of crosses brought tears to my eyes. It was so hard not to cry walking through the cemetery and seeing all of the makers of men 18, 19 years old that died that day, knowing they never got to experience life. I would recommend the tour to anybody visiting France.Yes the “ eye Candy” is always appreciated, & the cider most refreshing.
Went to a talk last night about the weather & all the factors that lead up to the decision to go ahead with the D-Day landings, even after a one day postponement. Something that just gets me in passing. Got a lot more insight last night. Always a Good thing![]()
You are most fortunate my Friend. No doubt many moving experiences throughout that region. Thanks for sharingI was in France back in August. Did an all day tour of Normandy. Unfortunately that seems to be the “ norm” Good SirQuiet in the state of Virginia. Is Virginia so boring that nothing interesting ever happens to anybody? Someone, somewhere in the state had to have gotten laid last night and Enquiring minds want to know.
Thanks for the update. Were there a number of folks in period outfits, and demonstrations taking place? ThanksWell, the Renaissance Faire this weekend was totally sold out. It seemed to be a real blast though. My wife & I took the ferry across the James River, and stayed in Williamsburg over the weekend.
