I've just posted my first story, 'A Who Done It' in the humour and satire thread, and would welcome comments from any readers

http://english.literotica.com/stories/showstory.php?id=195098

Also I'd appecriate advice on the following point: OK, I'd checked, spell checked, done it all again, but no sooner had it been posted than I spotted half a dozen typos and errors I'd missed up till now, well they couldn't have been that bad because the adjudicators let it onto the boards, but I'm still mortified that I hadn't spotted my spell check had changed 'confidence' to 'consequence'! for starters. My question is: is there any way to 're-submit' my work with the typos and errors corrected, or am I lumbered for life?

Bear. ;)

Sure there is...

I've had to do it myself several times. No matter how hard you search for typos, unless some one else reads it over for you, it's going to happen. The easiest way to do it, is to simply copy your story the way it appears on Lit and then go to the submit page.

In the title bar retype the same title and put the word (EDITED) next to the title. You can retype the teaser or place a new one. In the text box, 'paste' your story in and the fix the typos. Afterward, hit the 'preview' button and read the story the same as the readers would in Lit. If you still find error, click the 'make changes' button at the bottom. When you're done making corrections, hit the submit button.
:nana:
In your submissions page, you will see the original story and votes and another below it with the same title with 'pending'. In about seven days, the 'pending' one will dissappear and only one will remain with the original's votes, reads and scores intact.

Thanks

THANKS :) For both your pieces of advice, you have put my mind at rest Kirk, but sorry Coonformist, I don't quite see the relevance of the software you mention to my qurery? I can be incredibly dense sometimes!

That Conformist post is an ad and should be removed. There used to be a way to report it but now I don't see how.

Good Plot...

Loved the plot and how it all came out in the end. I was scratching my head a couple times myself. lol Keep up the good work. I love stories with a good plot

Thanks Windy

:cattail: Glad you enjoyed it, especially the fact that you enjoyed exactly the aspects that I was most proud of! (Says he throwing all modesty out of the window!) I have a couple of ideas for sequels and will keep you posted of progress.
