Looking for specific arias? See if you can find Pavarotti's Nessun Dorma. Tell me how you like it. Also, his old warhorses - Vissi d'arte, Un Bel Di, and that gorgeous short piece from Gianni Schicchi, O mio babbino caro. I guess you can tell I love Puccini and the arias he wrote.

I saw Cats a while back. Thought the first act was boring, but liked the second act because there was a story to it. Even though I knew it was coming when what's her name was picked, I still felt it. Plus I love Memories.
Ok i'll check those out thanks cc.

Cats was ok, parts of it just didn't make much sense to me. But the poems it was based on were written by a guy who did opium so that could explain some of the quirkiness.

The producers is coming in the spring, would love to see that one.

Even though I can't comprehend Eliot, I find his words fascinating.

April is the cruelest month, breeding
Lilacs out of the dead land, mixing
Memory and desire, stirring
Dull roots with spring rain.

Sometimes I'm in just that mood.

Did you see the original movie version with Gene Wilder and Zero Mostel? That was hilarious.

Here's the web site for the Broadway show.

Sometimes I just feel like singing Springtime With Hitler and Germany out loud in a crowded place.

You may still not like him though.

I have the new movie version on my Netflix list. I wanted so badly to see the live musical with Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick. I saw Nathan Lane in A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum and he was great. A couple came into the theater late and he stopped the show to give them a good ribbing for being late.

I like Nathan Lane. One of my reasons for wanting to go to New York city would be to go to a broadway play. Just to say that i've done it.

Hope you get the chance. It becomes addictive and expensive even when buying the tickets from the TKTS booth. When I'm back we generally see one show, but it just makes me want to see more, especially if I don't think a show I want to see won't be around next year.

i know what you mean. My mom took me yesterday and i saw the price on the ticket

If you ever do go to NYC, check here first.

http://www.tdf.org/tkts/

Of course, the seats are usually off to the side, and even at 50% off, it can still be pricey. The other thing is they only take cash, but I buy myself gift certificates before I go so I don't have to carry that much cash.

Hope I didn't get carried away and bored you though, Vinde. I love the city and it's too easy for me to.
