Viking raids

I think there is a lot of interest in this type of theme, just look at how well historical Romance novels sell. And what is a Romance novel but a watered-down version of an Erotic novel? They just don't describe the hard cocks and wet pussies. There, it's just throbbing manhoods and heaving bosoms.
You know, someone who could write that kind of thing well could become very successful...

I like the rough draft a lot. Please come back and post here when the story is on-line!.......Carney (who doesn't scour the "new stories" list very thoroughly)

Man, you guys are good with the stereotyping, especially Tio. So, that means I've a bone to pick with you, Tio *sharpens double-headed axe" ... wait! That's a stereotype too :p

:D

Luckily the Beothuk didn't find the Vikings to their liking; at least it delayed the Euros a few hundred years.
Now there's a positive racial outlook. :p

Tio_Narratore: The vikings certainly had a concept of property ownership. Thieves don't like being stolen from.
Yuck. Ok, vikings were pirates, who attacked the Norse (or northmen) The people who settled America briefly (at L'Anse aux Meadows) were Norse, and as such had a very complex system of rule of law. They even practiced democracy long before the rest of Europe gave up on feudalism, with a strong emphasis on private property (indeed, a lot of the Common Law you use today descends directly from the Danelaw's influence.)

In fact, it's even speculated that some of the Norse who landed on America by mistake were fleeing from vikings.

Ah, clearly I misinterpreted. I see the issue here now; I've always laughed at the concept of "engagements" like "The Battle of Lake of Two Mountains" but I have a kneejerk reaction to a lot of what I see in history courses these days, which presents a whitewashed "from the native perspective" view of history. A lot of actions were punitive, taken against native tribes who had decided it was a good idea to roll into a settlement, kill everybody, rape the women, torture the children, etc. Fun fact: History is ugly. Actually, "The Battle of Lake of Two Mountains" is a punitive action, but it's one of those propagandized piece of crap ones. The real messy ones you have to search long and hard to find reference to.
Yes, exactly. Somewhere I read something like "secretly we like evil dictators like Stalin, Hitler and Mao; because then we can chalk up horrible events to 'some evil guy' instead of learning the nuances of history." Now, it's the "Euros" who were the "savages".

I think there is a lot of interest in this type of

Do you mean the romance, or the erotica?

Peace

Just got back from my "Happy Holidays". Thanks guys and gals for encouragement. I am motivated to finish my piece and will post a link here in a while. I am not an historian but I pay a close interest to tales around where I am living, etc. I am on the East of the Atlantic and cannot really see the difference between Norse and Viking. I'll say again: Europe. As far as I can see these men and women escaped their cold and infertile environments by sailing. It was "easier" to sail than to stay and die,or attempt a mountain crossing. Let us not forget this, brothers and sisters. The Vikings had a great amount of power because they knew how to travel by boat. And the Americans, let it be said, can tell us Euros what "Horsepower" really means...

Submission!

I have now submitted a story along these lines - hopefully as the main characters are both European and horny no-one will get offended! Although the theme is really dominant male and submissive (but independent and feisty) female with some bondage thrown in I decided to post in Non-consent/reluctance as we started off on that track (raping and pillaging...). I hope for some feedback because the ideas are starting to gel for part two and three....

Part the third...

I have written a third part to the original story, with help from what I hope was a girly, and it seems to be getting some votes. Enjoy, fellow perverts!

Thanks for the reminder; I had forgotten about this story. Just read the first one and liked it a lot. Now, off to read the other two.....
