Okay everyone, put down your favorite joystick and start thinking of your second favorite one. I'm talking videogames. Which are your favorite series or stand alones?

Personally I love the Legend of Zelda franchise, Harvest Moon, Don't Starve, Yandere Simulator, and the occasional Pokemon game. There are others I enjoy for sure, but those are the ones that come to mind.

Resident Evil - all of them
Fallout - all of them but mostly 4
Mass Effect - all but andromeda - i like it but i dont count the ending of 3
Dragon Age - every last one of them
Final Fantasy 7 and Crisis Core

and all Lego video games

I like Mario, whatever one has Yoshi, but the 2D one. Super Mario brothers, I think?

And legend of Zelda: Ocarina of time

Ocarina of Time was actually the first game I played!

N64 was the last system I got. Ages ago. However I'll still play it every once in a blue moon. I loved Ocarina - good graphics, good depth, challenging. The other Zelda game - Majora's mask was not as good but still had some interesting elements.

I liked the N64 Super Mario too. Never did solve that bastard DK64. Oooh I almost forgot about the Banjo Kazooie games. Those rocked. And sometimes I would just about give my left arm for some Amaze O Gaze googles. :D

The best Ms Pacman came off the regular Nintendo though. We never had the Super Nintendo with the Yoshi game. I still remember Icarus. That was another fun one.

baldur's gate, civilization and the sims. yeah, i'm lame.

oh and several sports management games over the years that only for boring fucks like me.

and i'm not going to argue that the sims is an actual game series, but i also don't really give a shit. it's still fun.

I had plenty of the earlier game consoles, Vectrex, early Atari, and ColecoVision. Enjoyed the early arcade games - Asteroids, Frogger, Defender, Q-Bert. Zelda.

Had a few quest type games on floppy discs for the PC. I still remember that shrill music from Lord of The Rings, and laughing through Leisure Suit Larry.

Nothing for years after that. Did some of the Donkey Kong, and Luigi & Mario stuff in arcades. Christ, the quarters that would get pumped into those things by my friends and I.

Fast forward a bunch more years, and we have a Wii with the Wii Sports, and a PlayStation that is used mainly for Netflix and the BlueRay player, and occasionally for Guitar Hero / Rock Band (usually when hosting a party), or some Little Big Planet time with Mrs. E and the kids.

A neighbor has practically every EA Sports game (he used to work for them) made, and some of the NHL hockey games are good fun.

back in the day i fucking loved me some joust because my aunt and uncle owned a cabinet (also xevious which is awesome, but i'm not talking about that right now), but i wouldn't play that fucker if you paid me now. my poor wrists and fingers ache at the mere thought. so much button smashing.

i'd still love me some galaga, though.

Fallout, Mass effect, Dragonage, Stardew valley Tropico and the sims are some of my favorites but I'll try just about any game lest once.

well, since you bumped it, i just started fiddling about with the long dark. i have no idea if i like it yet because i've been distracted, but it seems fairly interesting in some ways. i'll see how long i can care about it tonight when the distractions have fucked off (hopefully).

I've seen that game played a few times. Never understood how a can opener breaks after three uses. Good luck with it!

grand theft auto 5

call of duty

and any ghost recon games, specially wildlands

The Ultima series. I especially liked Martian Dreams and Savage Empire.

I've always loved the Mario games, big fan of borderlands, tomb raider, uncharted, skyrim, Diablo...there's a lot that I'm fond of but those are the ones I've probably played the most.

I just spent four hours on this newfound addiction of mine.

Just half an hour before bed, I said. Got an early morning tomorrow. Then I look up and it's 2 a.m.

Fuck you, game.
