vibrator question

Hey everyone,

Hoping someone can help me (and also that I am in the right place to ask this question....perhaps I should be in 'How to'....*thinks aloud* please feel free to move me, if I am being inappropriate ).

Anyway, I have just received my new realistic vibe....its a doc johnson one and apart from it being slightly bent I'm pretty pleased with it. Apart from one thing.....the SMELL is YUCK! Very rubbery. God knows what the taste will be like.... Urgh

Anyway I don't have the doc johnson joy gel that they suggest you use to clean it. Has anyone got any ideas what I can clean it with and what may get the smell away (apart from repeated use *sniggers*) as I really don't want to damage it. There are no details on the box at all, apart from something to tell you not to put it in the microwave..

What do other people use?

Ohhh, for the cam? I was trying to figure out what the issue was. Maybe vibrators are like wine - occasionally you get one that's corked.

*sniggers* yes for my Master really. Though I gotta say on a personal level it smells a bit too 'toxic' to make me want to leap on it! lol. I am sure I read on a thread the other day about someone sucking something (cant remember if it was a vibe) and coming out in little blisters around their mouth.

Eeeek! I don't want that......or blisters anywhere else for that matter!

Im not stating the obvious minx but it is made of rubber, therefore it will always smell and taste of it to some extent... Maybe you will get used to it, maybe you wont... I'm sure he will like to see you use it in other ways though

On a side note... if you want to simulate the oral kind of stuff, then maybe purchase a dildo made from something else just to help on that side of things..

Yeah ta Nax, actually though we bought this for one for specific reasons and it took forever to find one we were happy with. I also wanted a realistic looking one...which it is. Its really kinda priddy and feels nice too

As for what its made of...I think its rubber...it sure smells of rubber

Really? I kinda get the impression that lots of peeps do. I never have....maybe I should start. It will certainly ease the cleaning side of things and I guess protect the toy too??

To get rid of the smell, my friend says it wears off with rubber after a time, but otherwise, use olive oil and then wash really really well - that's meant to take care of the toy and de-smellify it.

Well, it's definitely important to take care of one's skin - otherwise, dry skin, cracking skin, splitting skin etc... painful, itchy and gross!
