I know there are lots of adverts for Viagra on the Interent but where can i get it in the Uk? I need a good, genuine company to buy from.
I have seen my Doctor about taking it so there's no problem there.

Unless you're buying from a genuine pharmacy that just does business online, there's no way you can be assured you'll get the real drug, something that won't be harmful to your health or they won't just take your money and run. The US government at least has analyzed drugs from the internet (which usually come from countries like China, India and Mexico) and has found great variation in the amount of active ingredient in them - sometimes there's none, and sometimes it's enough of it to cause serious health problems.

And genuine pharmacies that do business online will require a doctor's prescription. Do you have one, or did your doc say that you didn't need it?

I don't know what the UK laws are, but here it's illegal to get or import drugs without a prescription and going through the proper channels. We're allowed to get a 90-day supply of FDA-approved non-narcotic drugs from legit mail-order/internet pharmacies here or in other countries, but they must be labeled properly, declared and have a prescription to back them up, or they can be seized and the customer will be out the money and potentially face prosecution.

Check out the UK laws and find a legit pharmacy through google and pharmacy association sites, rather than just clicking on an email or internet ad (which may very well be scams). If you can verify the pharmacy is a member of the country's pharmacy association, there's a good chance it's legit, but make sure you read all of the info and verify what the pharmacy needs from you (e.g. for you to fax the script and identification) before ordering or giving them your credit card info.

Unless your problems are caused in part by erectile dysfunction, you can't expect Viagra and similar drugs to improve your sex life. From what you've said, your sexual problems with your wife have nothing to do with your cock.

At present in the UK there are only two ways to legally get Viagra, and both those involve a prescription from your doctor - if you'd seen them, they should have told you that already.

If your need arises (no pun intended) from an existing medical condition such as injury, diabetes etc, then you get it on the NHS, as many as your doctor is willing to prescribe for you.

If your reasons are not medical (for example - you feel you just need something to help you past what is hopefully just a temporary emotional problem) then your doctor can write you a private prescription - again, you get this filled at a pharmacy, but you pay the private rate for it which is significantly higher than the NHS rate.

Thanks for the replies - My Doctor gave me a sample of Cialis (2 pills) which did help. I have heard that Viagra sometimes gives you a stronger erection though.
My Doctor didn't really explain much about it too be honest, but i guess i could go back and see him.
I just wondered if there were cheaper places to purchase, but if there are fakes pills out there i'm certainly not going to take a risk.
My Doctor did say that because i didn't have a heart condition, i couldn'y get it on prescription. I'm still little confused about how much it would cost me.

I don't know if any of the ED drugs produce stronger erections than the others, but I have heard a lot of reports of Viagra having more severe side effects, such as headaches and nasal congestion, than Cialis or Levitra. Cialis also works for longer than Viagra, so you may want to consider that.

Go talk to your local pharmacist about how much each drug costs off of NHS, and what conditions qualify to get them free/cheaply through NHS.

And look on the bright side: it's highly likely that even paying for the whole thing yourself in the UK is A LOT cheaper than doing the same in the US (and many of our insurance companies don't cover ED drugs at all, for any reason, or only cover a small portion of the cost). Be thankful you're in a country that controls drug pricing so most people can afford to pay for thing privately as well, instead of a country where the drug companies can charge whatever they want and many have to choose between necessities like food, and medicine.

Do you actually have a physical problem getting/keeping an erection, or is it psychological, or are you aiming to use ED drugs recreationally?

A prescription doesn't just 'rely' on you having a heart condition, and in large part it can be down to the doctor - for example, the following are 'common' reasons for receiving ED medication on the NHS -

• diabetes
• kidney failure requiring dialysis
• kidney transplant
• multiple sclerosis
• Parkinson’s disease
• polio
• prostate cancer
• removal of the prostate gland (prostatectomy, including men who have had a transurethral resection of the prostate)
• radical pelvic surgery
• severe pelvic injury
• single-gene neurological conditions
• spinal cord injury
• spina bifida.

...HOWEVER, I received a couple of NHS scripts for viagra because I was having some emotional/depression related issues. Hard to 'prove' clinically, but my doctor was a star.

After that, and we established that the med's could help with the physical issues, he gave me a private prescription - which I believe is a fixed cost, and was approx. 40 pounds if memory serves.

I should point out that I also had another doctor a few years ago who worked for a very large city practice, and I often felt that I was on a production line - basically, he didn't seem interested.

It wasn't until I moved to the much smaller practice my Wife went to that I started to feel like I was getting somewhere.

The moral? If you don't feel like you're getting the service you need from your current doctor, don't b afraid to move to a new one
