VHS Tapes, or DVD's?

DVDs are better for leveling a table.
Tapes are better if you want to smack someone.

Specificity is a wonderful attribute.

I've been so spoiled.....watching something on vhs, seems so unnatural.

Plus, pan-n-scan makes me nauseous.

dvd's of course ... the only fault being that you can't record unless you get a dvd recorder that is but those are pretty expensive and so are the blank dvds

I have about 120 DVD's, and only a handful of VHS tapes now. and if you don't like a DVD, coaster time!

You have 120 DVD's a handful of VHS tapes and you don't know which is better? Are you watching these on a 13" black & white television?

Who says I have a TV? I just study the box art and try to picture what the movie is in my head, kinda like a book, except with a lot less words

You could always hold it up to the sun, and look at the pretty colors.

the whole package for se7en is great, that was one of the first DVD's I ever bought, I still watch it a few times a month

last time I held a dvd up to the sun, it faded the box art away, not doing that again!

DVD.

Although VHS does have a lot of good movies and shows available that DVD hasn't even touched yet.

You mean you stare blankly at the purely black box with a title :D

it'll be a few years before some really good stuff comes out, by then of course there will be a new format, DVD-SVCDQFRFUCKYOUBITCHYOUGAVEMEVD-MP3 tapes or something

It's a weird world. Sure, DVD's are better than videotapes, but film is still better than DVD's.

Before videotapes, people who wanted to see movies at home could actually buy the film and run it through a projector onto a screen in their living room. You'd get an 8mm print, or even 16mm, which was identical to what was being shown in many public cinemas.

Now people ooh and aah over DVD quality and spend thousands on "flat-screen" TV's with image sizes smaller than a Da-Lite tripod.

Flat-screen and plasma TVs suck major ass.

other than the price tag, and the fact that plasmas go dead after five years, they still give you a great picture.

ok the price tag and the fact that the plasmas go dead after five years really sucks, but you can put them anywhere, and they don't weigh anything

Come tell that to my 55" widescreen TV with a flat screen. The thing is a wonder.

Hey, I walked through two electrial superstores today and all of the superflat-superlarge-superpricey TVs and monitors had atrocious pictures.

ex of mine has a 65 inch, when I first saw it I creamed myself, they had to clean up the mess before someone slipped and fell.

picture was superb!

Fuck all you

My reel to reel 0wnz.

If that don't stop you, I gots da microfiche too.
