An old drying machine said in a very low-pitched, garbled voice, "Hey!" as I was walking past it at a Goodwill consignment store. Apparently it was trying to get my attention, like it wanted me to buy it or something.
The voice was clearly audible and discernible, but it did not sound human.
This dryer was very old and appeared to be from the 1970's and had a yellow frame with all analog switches and dials like the one pictured below.
No one was around me when it happened, so that vocalization did not come from a person. Also, there were only about 4 other people in the store at the time.
