very few votes

hi all!!
i wrote a story for the D/s section titled Running Errands. i've only received 6 votes on it so far. does this mean that few people are reading it, that most people don't vote, or that the reader doesn't care to see more from that author. i immediately vote after reading a story, hoping to encourage the writer to write another story soon. i'm thinking at this point in time that all the effort and time put into it means little to the readers. i hope i'm wrong. it would help a lot if more votes were cast to help determine if i should write another one.

I think it's a combination of the first two: Few people are reading it, and most people don't vote. I've only written 1 story so far, and it peaked a few weeks after it was posted at 50 votes. That was several weeks ago, and it still says I have 50 votes, although I still get an email or 2 each day from someone saying they just read it. Why people would take the time to read your story and email you to tell you they like it, but not vote on it, is a total mystery to me.

To get more people to read your story, you might want to include a link with your reply to this message, so people know where to look for it. Go to a website such as Yahoo clubs (Dom/Sub catagories) and post a link to your story on their BB; I got a few fans that way.
