Releasing the bin tape on the same day they invoke executive privilege to protect the confidentiality of prosecutorial documents

So what's your point? At least he didn't blow up an pill factory to cover his ass during an investigation. Aww, you'll come up with something else in a tangent to back up your political bias, the socialists always do. Rant on. :D

WriterDom.....is a.....Socialist.....?

(Sorry...for the...choppy post, but....I'm busy...ducking the...pigs flying...overhead....)

....and just think, his armband collection was almost complete! Now they're calling him a socialist...drat, double drat!

Marxist, you look a little hot under the collar.

Can I get you something, a Perrier maybe?

No, Hitler is your necessary hero, remember? Besides, he was a socialist.

(National Socialist German Workers' Party, called for short, the Nazi Party (or NSDAP))

Hitler a socialist? This just got funnier.

You know, the USSR called themselves socialists too. A lot of people still believe it. It just sounds better than what they really were.

This goes to the sad shape of the intellectual conservative movement here at Lit.

Here's your clue WD: Just because the name of a party has "democratic" or "socialist" in its name doesn't mean it's either.

Yes, the name NAZI comes from National Socialism but this was meant to stand in direct oppososition of the much more popular (Soviet inspired) socialism / communism of the day. It also allowed the Nazis to take money from industrialists without having to explain their motives because they were a "workers" party.

I thought they taught you this in school, WD?

Pretard.

He also released it the same day he declared he was going to use Executive Privilege much more often to hide documents and doings from his father's administration.

Clinton never once, in all the witch hunts, used Executive Privilege.

He also released the tape the same day Lynn Cheney released her 'blacklist' of 'antiamerican' university professor. McCarthy lives!

All socialists take money from industrialists without having to explain their motivies.

WriterDom, you clever SOB

You just wanted someone else to mention that he was protecting Clinton from congress with this move. That way, you're not the bad guy...

But for Laurel's benefit, I'll bring it up. It's a lot like the missing W's scenario. Damned if you do damned if you don't. Just try to be gracious.

Lavy remember Bush's European tour

and how he was portrayed as an idiot, a bumbler, a pathetic figure of a man. When he went to Russia it seems. Putin and shrub sat down and agreed to scrap the treaty. Russia was supposed to come down to our level of Nukes which they did. The only people really screaming are the Chinese and the Democrats.

You see, the Russians really do fear the Chinese more than us. The Chinese have thier eyes on Siberian resources. Not unlike the Clancy novel.

Besides, the cat was out of the hat on the ABM for at least a week. THis was not a Clintonesque gambit.

I hadn't heard anything about this, so I looked it up on The New York Times:

DALLAS, Oct. 6 — Lynne Cheney, wife of the vice president, disputed educators who want to teach more multiculturalism in the wake of the Sept. 11 terror attacks, promoting instead a curriculum that emphasizes American studies.

"If there were one aspect of schooling from kindergarten through college to which I would give added emphasis today, it would be American history," Mrs. Cheney said on Friday at a luncheon for the Dallas Institute of Humanities and Culture.

Mrs. Cheney, a former chairwoman of the National Endowment for the Humanities, disagreed with assertions that children needed to learn about world cultures now more than ever. To say that, she said, implies "that it was our failure to understand Islam that led to so many deaths and so much destruction."

This should be a thread in and of itself.

Purple

Do you have a link, WD? I could only find discussion of the Dallas Institute talk so far. Haven't found a list.
