Kascharan is not what he appears. Once at the beginning of the world he was a god-a being of incredible power and strength...During the threat from the gods of the redworld He and the other gods took the burgeoning peoples of mankind and fostered them teaching them fire and the wheel and the roots of civilization, then the war feared and dreaded at long last came. The mad gods of the redworld sent their hideous hordes of monsters and invaded the planet. Kascharan was mankind's champion, their general, their god of war. For a thousand years he and his fellow gods led humanity against terrors now faded into mythology or forgotten entirely.
A millennia passed and Kascharan and the others pushed the Mad gods forces back to the redworld for one last epic battle. At the end the redworld was ruined bereft of life, it's atmosphere and seas thinned and frozen. The mad gods imprisoned within the redworld's dead core and the war was over...
Kascharan though would never say they had won. He had led mankind in the long brutal war, he had seen them fight, see them rise, and seen them fall. So fragile, so stoic, so brave...there was too much blood, too many sacrifices, too much death...no this was no victory to him.
So afterward he buried his armor and sword and turned his back on his fellow gods wandering the face of the world as a homeless nomad letting the centuries pass, but now a modern humanity has discovered something life on the redworld. One of the madgods had escaped their imprisonment, and was rebuilding the ruins of their planet intent on invasion once again.
So now Kascharan must turn to humanity again to ask them to fight and die, though his heart breaks to do so once again.

In a world where the existence of vampires and shifters are common knowledge. New York is divided by the human majority and the not-so-human minority. Both sides citizens the police force is supposed to serve equally. The shifters and Vampires have formed an impromptu government to govern themselves in the absence of official fair and unprejudiced protection. Though depending on whom you ask it could be described as a run of the mill criminal syndicate.
Hayden Mercer is a Covenant Peacekeeper-a fancy way to say police detective-a cop specializing in keeping and preserving the ancient peace treaty that integrated the not-so-human races in with human civilization.
When a rash of mysterious murders threaten that treaty, and set human and not-so-human against each other in a war that will tear the city apart.
He is saddled with a partner. The first Vampire to make detective. Together they must find the killer and keep the fragile peace.

Senichi Hyuga Jonin of the hidden leaf Village. Has been given an important mission by the Hokage. Word of four Rogue ninja terrorizing villages along the border of the land of rain has come to light. Troublingly one reportedly is using a powerful jutsu from a scroll of forbidden jutsus stolen from the leaf village years ago. He and his squad is sent to investigate this mystery to eliminate the rogue ninja and if they can to recover the forbidden scroll.
Unknown to them, the four rogue ninja has attracted the attention of the Ukotsuki who wish to recruit them into their number. And also a squad of Anbu black ops ninjas from the leaf village has also been dispatched on the mission, although their orders are very different. They will tail Senichi's squad and when they've recovered the scroll move in, kill Senichi and his squadmates, and take the scroll for themselves.
