Thank you all, you *were* right, and I was foolish to panic so, but normal, I'm certain!

So, about the day...

I was very calm all morning, in fact I was freaking people out I was so relaxed. I did my makeup base, then did my bridesmaids' hair and makeup, had my hair set in rollers, ate lunch (couldn't eat much), finished getting my hair, tiara and veil fixed, finished my eye makeup (of which my friend kindly took the photos below, gee, thanks. The green pin curls really add something) then had time (just) to do my mum's makeup, too.

Suddenly I heard them, the words that struck fear into me at long last - "The car's here".

Already? I started breathing faster, wasn;t he way too early? Fuck, no, I looked at the clock - it was nearly time to go. Shit. Underwear - dress - must hurry!
I slipped into stockings and knickers, grabbed two bridesmaids to do up my industrial strength strapless bra (sexay!) then sidled sheepishly out into my bedroom, filled with bridesmaids and friends. My mum's friend and one of the bridesmaids helped me into the dress and did it up together. My mind had gone all blurry by this point, I couldn;t tell you what I was scared of, but the adrenaline was pulsing through me.

I let out the pin curl clips, re-curled the hair that has fallen out of its curl already and carefully leant over my skirts to dab on the lip-stain I had forgotten to apply pre-dress.

I walked out onto the landing where I was met by my dad in full morning suited regalia and a sky-blue tie.
"You look stunning" he told me, his voice thickening a little on the words. I smiled tensely, the nerves having taken a full grip on me by this point.
"Thank you Daddy".

I walked down the stairs to see my mum and her friend waiting at the bottom of the stairs humming the bridal march at me as I teetered down the stairs in my high high heels - dum dum di dum. dum dum di dum...

Someone, I don't remember who now, handed me my bouquet, which looked beautiful - bless the florists, they must have been psychic to interpret my last minute instructions of the night before when I had burst into tears at the preview of the flowers. It was exactly as I had imagined it.

I held it carefully in front of me, watched as all the girls walked out to the taxi, then squared my shoulders and walked out to the 1954 Rolls Royce Silver Phantom that awaited me. [photo also below] The chauffeur and my dad helped me in and I sank into the springy seat. My dad squeezed in next to my skirts and we were off to the church...

and I'm on here cos he's playing with wedding presents and I'm still feeling a bit car sicky from the drive home, so I'm slumped on the sofa!
