I love Caracas and the coast to La Guaria and the island.

Venezuela was developed, infrastructure-wise, beginning in the 1950's for its' oil by the USA.

Lots of Nazis fled there after WWII, so you'll occasionally see these gorgeous Venezuelan blue eyed blonde women....

They've had their ups and downs, but in the past 25 years have been mostly peaceful with elections and stuff.

The middle class is very small as a percentage of the whole population, which is likely why they're now having problems again.

Too bad.
