Velocity: OOC/Casting Call

I can be the TM, if you want. I'll just update my profile from guitarist to bitter musician who couldn't hack it in his own band. Sounds fun.

It'll also whittle down needed players from 10 to 8. Since the band is not real, we can pretend that 3 actual musicians is plenty for the music they play.

Ok Thanks very much Sir.

I'll get IC thread up asap. everbloom, we have a 1:1 ratio of artists/groupies but there's always room for more pliant young things backstage. You're welcome to post a profile and see who you can score with.

Hi vin

I meant to get back to you sooner.

You had some very interesting ideas for the TM but they would have made things about nonconsensual BDSM first and a band travelling and playing music second. Plus, the girls we have cast are unlikely to want to RP the kind of noncon nastiness you were suggesting. You're a very talented writer vin but you do have a tendency to get a little carried away and take things to the Nth degree. I'm afraid that makes me reluctant to give you a role as key as TM. Sorry hon, I hope you understand.

Okay, good luck!

Okay, thank you fuckmeat. Hopefully someone will like my character!

Ellie was born in Pilton, England, a small town in the State of Somerset. For years she lived with both of her parents trying to decide what she wanted to do with her life. Both her mother and father worked for the Department of Motor Vehicles, something she saw that through the years, would eventually eat your soul. Inside herself she knew she had a calling and dabbled in things musical only to find that she had no talent or will to want to play an instrument, but instead write music.

A few local bands in their small town paid her for songs, but she had finally found something she could do for the rest of her life and not feel like she would be doomed to an office desk, hating every minute she was still breathing. Wandering around the streets on her usual errands she stopped into her favorite, and only, music store in Pilton. Inside the old building’s walls where posters of touring bands, and one for someone she hadn’t heard of yet, Velocity. That’s how she found herself at Glastonbury Festival, watching all the excitement in awe. Everything was over the top, the women so beautiful with elegant tattoos snaking down their bodies. I have to get something like that soon. This was her place, or at least she hoped it would be.

Hope that is okay!

So just so I don't make any mistakes on my first post, Leopald is playing the TM or the guitarist? Or both?

Fredrick Nelson's bio has been edited, he's now the bitter, drunk tour manager.

I  you.

You know you'll play a bitter drunk better than an adored guitar player anyway. Can't wait for Li to get her head torn off by him. :p

You can always NPC a second guitarist I guess, but the thread really needs a tour manager IMO.

OB, great 1st post.

Princess, I'm sorry for the lack of clarification but room 9 is their dressing room backstage at the festival venue. Their hotel would be elsewhere. I guess they could be in room 9 at both places but that'd be a little confusing. You can stake out their hotel room by all means, but please could you edit and make it a different number?

Thanks :rose:

Yeah, sure. No problemo.

Sorry for the delay.

Name: Theodore "Teddy" Thorne

Appearance: 6'2" 190 pounds, lean-muscled with strong arms, large hands and long legs, torso and arms covered in Asian and African-motif tattoos ranging from small kanji and tribal bands to a large blue dragon across his back. His lower lip has two symmetrical piercings, the left ring adorned with a diamond ball, the right with an onyx. His long hair is dreadlocked, but very well-kept for such a "dirty" style and his facial hair is a simply short goatee. His eyes are green-hazel, in such a mixture that in the right light they change from one to the other pliantly.

History: Theodore (as he known only by law enforcement and his mother and grandmother) was always a loner. He was quiet, but had a very forceful presence despite this. He hung out with the wrong crowds, got into trouble with the local police, tried drugs and alcohol well before it was legal, and made the best of his strained relationship with his parents. He'd had his fair share of girls, though none of them could keep up with his silent intensity in the bedroom. They'd all wanted to talk and to cuddle and all he'd wanted was to ravage them til they couldn't walk straight.

Teddy graduated university with a degree in the one thing he could count on to keep his head straight, music studies. He'd always loved music and had always played an instrument of some kind, but in his last few years at uni he had discovered his ultimate passion, bass guitar. Starting with the classical bass, it was an easy thing to tip it to the side and learn to hold the guitar with as much skill. Teddy's fingers seemed to melt into the strings, riding the deep thrumming rhythm, ebbing and flowing like the ocean at the shore, speeding along at a thousand beats per second, slowing to the ticking of a clock in slow motion. After uni, Teddy had decided to try his hand at playing his bass with others by joining a few local jam bands, but none of them appreciated his eclectic play style and they tossed him out like a bag of hot garbage before too long. Just as he'd been ready to give it up and go into teaching lessons in his apartment, he saw the flyer for a band named Velocity. One audition and several pounded drinks later, they were fast friends on a whirlwind of hype and popularity. The lights and sounds of the stage were enthralling to Teddy, and the screaming fans were just icing on the cake.

(If there's anything more I need to list, please let me know. I hope this is sufficient.)

If this was in response to me, I was just kidding. I don't mind having my character being the sole guitarist.

I wasn't really being serious but clearly I need to remember that that doesn't always come across in print. I'm sure you'll be an awesome frontman.

That's great hon. I'd actually forgotten you had yet to post a profile. Sorry to rush you into it.

Okay, my love interests are torn...because of the way I wrote my intro post that Alex is following the band because she had this 'imaginary' unspoken connection with someone in the band which was going to be Leopald but noooooooooooooow it isn't because theres no need for a tour manager to be onstage with the band and grr. XD

Being a failed musician that's bitter about his lack of fame, it would make sense for him to try and position himself in the limelight. Either in tv interviews or press conferences. He may not be on stage, but he certainly wouldn't be completely behind the scenes, either.

He's gonna try and make up for the success he failed to achieve.

Okay, then...I'll just have it where she THINKS he's apart of the band but since she hasn't actually met the band yet, she doesn't know he's just the tour manager.

I claim the TM ^.^

We're a little girl heavy now. fr33ks33k isn't paired with anyone or you can go after someone else and see what happens. I doubt any of these guys will turn their noses up at group sex. And if your idol humps and dumps you, I'm sure Leo will be gentlemanly enough to offer you a cock to cry on. :D

ETA: Haha, so you guys figured it out anyway while I was posting.

I been following this and it looks good but your missing something. Your missing the one person that's hates the band and try to kill them like making the lights fall down on them or a bird pooping on them. lol a stalker and someone cazzy. just had to say it :)

I'm sure these guys will get cazzy enough once they've settled into their roles. And jilted women are always scary.

I'm going to post a profile up for a groupie in a little. Just let me know what you think FM :3.

You're welcome to do that but we're a little girl heavy at present. As the thread is just kicking off, I'm not sure how soon we'll work other people in without people winding up bored and unfucked.

Ah.
I'll leave it be then for now.
Just get in touch with me if you find yourself needing another girl :3.
