She listened and watched, not missing the few smiles that seemed to be directed to her. It was something so special and found at such an odd time that she did little more than smile in return. Gwen found herself relaxing against Tanthallas as she watched the crowds begin to thin. Children were ushered into the castle with the old. Others were running home to secure things she was sure. But even those not use to battle knew how to defend themselves at least. When she heard the whisper she found herself leaning back till she felt his lips brush her ear.

People rely on you far too much for you to worry over me.” But it was sweet that he did and for a fleeting moment she found it thrilled her just a little. “I will go back into the castle and help best I can with the little ones.” She turned her gaze upon him again, smiling warmly.
