I guess they don't want competition for the young boys.

VATICAN CITY (Reuters) - Reinforcing its opposition to female priests, the Vatican said Monday it had excommunicated seven women, including a nun, who were ordained in June in a ceremony on a boat in Austria.

An Argentine bishop, not recognized by the Holy See, ordained the Austrian, German and U.S. women in a ceremony, witnessed by 300 people.

This prompted a warning from the Vatican last month, giving the women 12 days to repent.

"Because the women ... did not give any indication of amendment or repentance for the most serious offence they had committed...they have incurred excommunication," Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger, a papal right-hand man, said in a press release from the Vatican.

He had earlier branded the ordination "an affront to the dignity of women," saying women had a specific role in the church which was distinctive and irreplaceable.

*Sick fucks! :D

It isn't suprising. Really. The feable mindedness of those morons is as great and big as my ass.

I can feel their idiocy seeping out of the walls of catholic churches everywhere.

I love God, but some people are fucking retarted.

Lost Cause, I have to disagree with you about the Vatican returning to the 9th century.
They never left it.

Point taken.......

I stand corrected, they never did leave the age of ignorance, and blind obedience to edicts of a "Roman Wannabe" cult.
Their very religion is an affront to the Bible and it's teaching. They kept the holy language Latin so the average person would stay ignorant to the real messages in the scriptures. They aided the NAZI's during WW2, cooperating with the roundups for immunity! Let's not forget the inquisition, the imbodiment of the love of god through the church!

*I'm done! :D

See, being that on my married side, they are very strictly Lutheren, I have a hard time dealing with feelings of hatred for the Catholics, but I am very unsure why my family's church has sort of 'joined up' with the Catholics.

It is sort of scary to me.

However, I try to just remember that most nuns you meet arn't out to be in postions of 'power' anyway. Only the real bitchy, aweful ones are.

All the good ones care about is helping the poor and children with problems and disabilities.

To me, that is amazing and awesome so there is a force of good in there somewhere, I know it.

And I don't think your average catholic is bad either, but maybe a bit in misled?

I don't think the average person is bad, I don't think the average Christian is bad, and I don't think the average Catholic is bad.

As with many large organisations, its the hierarchy that's the problem, not the grass roots.
