Vatican says Gay Marriage is Evil

I'm Methodist as well. but the Methodist church ain't all lovey dovey either. While they welcome queers in the congregation, remember the big stink over the lesbian minister a year or two ago? They'll let queers sit and listen to the sermon, as well as let them fork out money, but they won't let them be out and preach. Seems rather hypoctirical to me. Maybe that's why I seldom go to church.

It doesn´t surprice me when it comes to the vatican . SInce it is run by a Nazi . Nowadays anyway.
So as a person ealier said, fuck the vatican. Since the vatican sucks.

I got into this fight with my mother on the phone last night, oddly enough. It's a load of horse manure, let me tell you. She's like "the Bible calls homosexuality an abomination and there's very few things that's called that."

*sighs* Can you tell how much trouble I'm going to have coming out?

NJ: save money up, if you got a job. Since then you can save up money, and then move away. When you have money enough. And then come out, and well Jasmine you are old enough. To have the strength, and give your family the finger. Since your situation is unhealthy. But why I am not out to my mother is because she is fucking nosy. And well I am no way in hell going to tell her it.

NJ: remove my curses, and then see the truth in it what I am saying. Since you deserve to live with yourself, being who ever you are inside. And not what your family predicts. And I am very serious about it. I had this situation conversation with a mate a couple of years ago, and well he is out today. And has the best life ever. And well his family is rather ok with it. And he lives in USA (I can give you the name of the city in a private message, and information of how to contact him).

I loved that!!!

Wolfie, you're right. I have a destination in mind too, once I get enough money together and can do it. *grins* Pass this training, and my job can come with me.

Lezli i love it.

while i'm a transwoman lesbian i don't get how people can pick and choose what to support in the bible and what not to considering over 30 books of the bible were thrown out by the catholic church in around 300 or 400ad i think it was. Most of these books that were thrown out very greatly but seem to be more about what the Christian Religion is supposed to be about and aren't about controlling the population that follows the religion. Judaism, Christianity, and Islam are all religions of controlling the people more so then their eastern counterparts or even the more western counter parts.

Tymeless you are talking about the gnostic gospels. And I think the vatican still has them in their great library, and also those we have found different places as papyrus rolls. But since the vatican is so closed minded. Then it would need a modern real "indiana jones" to get in and steal the gospells, and then scan them, and send them to people who will translate them all. Without the greesy hands of the catholic church.

I went to a baptist university and there was a HUGE mess when I got there. Someone in the archaelogical field had found references in old scrolls to a duality - God and Goddess. However, our "bible" only makes reference to the male and the feminine hebrew terms were played off as their god being motherly as well as father figure.

And if you think about it, hebrew is a poetic language, not to be taken literally. Then there's the whole "no god before me" issue. Thinking on that, it doesn't negate there are other deities out there - just that the hebrew god only wanted himself to be worshiped by the hebrews and not others.

It's all twisted and weird.

While I'm thinking on it - did anything happen to that James Cameron documentary about the occupied tomb?

yeah and the bible was originally written in Aramaic or something like that which noone on earth really knows how to translate fully. The thing is in Aramaic there were no words for time no words for colors so what else wasn't there words for when it got translated to hebrew then to latin and then to english etc.

If you ever get the chance, watch the History Channel when they have their biblical stuff. It's some really enlightening stuff. Definately gives you an insight on how some of the current biblical wordings came into being.

Aramaic is still spoken, so there is a way of translating the bible. But it IS only the new testament that is written aramaic (of what I know of anyway). But anyway, let someone steal the gnostic gospels, that the vatican denies having , and and steal every thing from them. And let it be translated, since I am so damn tired of the double standards of it all :)

Tymeless, sorry to burst your bubble, but your statement is wrong. Aramaic is spoken by people in Syria Iran Iraq and Georgia (the country) and they and some of them are in in church circles. And also the writing language is based on hebrew, And the jewish Talmud is also written in Aramaic. I am sorry for shooting your comment into smitherins. But sometimes I do it. Since the only way, is not going through Hollywood as a source(the Stigmata movie is the one I am thinking off), and I have heard the "our father" prayer in Aramaic (JC also spoke in Aramaic by the way) . And well there ARE more than 5 people who speaks the Aramaic language, but I agree with you. That it is a near extinct language
