Yes there was! As a kid walking home from primary school in Avalon I would, most days, stop at the fish and chip shop, get out my sixpence and buy some nice hot chips to fuel me up for the walk home....about forty mins. They always had grease proof around them first.

I have seen some pictures from this set before, long time ago don’t remember where , great pictures of the gorgeous Vanessa. I particularly liked the close up of Vanessa’s wonderful bush with Vanessa exhibiting a serious case of goose bumps, must have been pretty chilly up there. I do remember in the few I saw, Richard doing his best to warm the lovely but chilled Vanessa up by bending her over the map table and using considerable friction to get a fire going in that delectable bush.

The pics were taken back in about 2009 at One Mile Beach Port Stephens. In those days we had a holiday place not far from this beach. Samurai Beach, a legal nude beach, is at the northern end of One Mile beach, around a headland. This is where we took many of our nude beach pics and spent most of our time.....lots of time.

Seems like only yesterday, mmmm, maybe not quite , it was a long time ago but very well remembered.

The link leads to some VERY early attempts at black and white. I'm trying to remember but I think we'd not long bought a decent digital camera....would've been a Pentax K10.

I set up a regular outdoor spotlight or two on a timber stand about six feet in height and adjusted the light (s) by holding them in place with woodworking clamps. Not very elegant but it did the trick.

It was all so new. We both enjoyed the process, and over time improved here and there, learning new techniques. In later studio type pics I bought some remote flash devices which gave a very good effect...they went off at the same time as the camera.......I still don't know how exactly but they worked well. Don't have them anymore BUT I still have the first primitive lighting set up! and it still gives a good result when needed.

Singapore, 1970…Our ship docked at the Royal Naval Base, and every night a truck would come onto the pier and sell fish and chips…lots of fish and lots of chips for about 50 cents (US), all wrapped up in newsprint. It got to the point where no one was eating the lousy food on the ship. GOOD TIMES
