Good afternoon everyone, we have been away in Sydney for a few days.....and we're exhausted.

We caught up with family and attended to some business in the city. It has been quite a while since we last visited and the change [to us] is astonishing. Compared to when we both grew up there, we might as well be visiting another planet.

Now that we're back home, we'll let the dust settle, get ourselves back to a relaxed country way of life and get back to Lit to attend to the thread and PM's.

Yes Sydney has changed for the worse with a lot of development, Wifey and I are stuck here at least til the kids have finished school. I was expecting a knock on the door while you two were down here, alas... fingers crossed for next time

We noticed a difference when we visited Sydney. It seemed more built up especially around the harbour. A lot of changes in the last 10/12 years. Same in a lot of cities I suppose. Found some lovely spots though; like Temperance Lane. Some good record stores too (a priority!). ps Gorgeous pic, V. You look beautiful x

My partner's lad has just come into port in Australia - Darwin at the moment but possibly other ports further east in the near future.

He's with the Carrier group and is really looking forward to Oz!
