Vanessa 2

No! Flickr are dicking us around, even with a vpn I can only see the first two albums. To change settings I have to upgrade to pro, in other words shell out £75. I don’t mind paying but I’m not convinced Flickr is worth it, SP is so much better. It always works and they don’t mess around. Upload is easy through Fotki and no censorship, picture quality always good and they allow video. Maybe a bit expensive but you get what you pay for.
Hi Binns. I have a pro Flickr account and a free one in a different login and they can both only see the two albums and 67 photos in the photostream. I have checked settings and used a VLN and I still can’t get it to work. I have been using Flickr for years and sometimes a setting by the poster or the viewer doesn’t work for some reason I’ll carry on trying to find why and post here if I get anywhere. Steve

Same here, Steve… I can only see 67

No, there are 102 photos....you're not seeing the rest. I've adjusted everything that could allow a viewer to see all the stuff. I can only think that one of your settings is not correct............given that others can see everything.
Hi Richard re Flickr, I have been doing some digging. As I replied to @Binns I have a pro account and a free account under a different login and yet still can only see 67 photos and two albums. My setting are OK and in fact I followed someone who post explicit phots as a trial ;) and I can see everything (pun!). I eventually asked Flickr what they think and this is the total reply - only doing this to help so just ignore if you've lost the will to live with all this:ROFLMAO:. Steve

  • Your Pro account + ability to view adult content uncensored means you should see public Moderate/Restricted photos when signed in. The fact that you still can’t points to the photos almost certainly not being set to fully Public.

Most likely causes

  1. The photos are set to Friends, Family, Friends & Family, or Private (very common mix-up—the poster may think “I made the album public” when only some or none of the photos actually are).
  2. All the photos are public + Moderate/Restricted, but something else is blocking (rarer; usually the privacy setting is the issue).
  3. The poster needs to use a Guest Pass if they want to share non-public content via a special link.

What to do

Ask the person who sent the link to:
  • Go into Organizr (You → Organize) or the individual photo pages.
  • Select the photos in that album and confirm the privacy/permission is set to Anyone (Public) for every photo.
  • Also check the safety level (Safe / Moderate / Restricted) on each photo.
  • If they only want certain people to see it, they should either:
    • Mark you as Friend or Family and set the photos accordingly, or
    • Create a Guest Pass for the album (Share → Guest Pass) and send you that special link instead of the regular album URL.
    • Once the individual photos are truly Public (and you’re signed in with SafeSearch allowing adult content), the album link should work for you.
Hope this is of use - but please don't do loads of work - we all love what you two post in any format in any place. Steve

Alas, Flickr is proving to be more trouble than it's worth. The site, I've found, is clunky, unnecessarily complicated, difficult to organise and, well, disappointing. Have given it, what I think, is my best shot. I like the way the photos are displayed there but, with regard to a pleasant, uncomplicated experience, it falls short. We're doing this mainly to be able to share our pics etc but if people aren't able to see them easily then it's a waste of time.😞

Hi Richard
I love the contrast between your downbeat appraisal of Flickr and then, smack, the glorious shot of Vanessa playing pool wearing next to nothing!
Thanks for taking the trouble to work so hard to provide a framework forced upon you by Lit's rule changes, and most of all for sharing these delightful, captivating images of a very special lady.
I have to ask if that pool table is in your new home, or did you surprise the regulars in your new local pub?!

No Muff, it was in a place we had about ten years ago. The bloody thing was so heavy we included it in the sale 🙄 ......miss it though, it was great fun. Many thanks👍

I know what you mean Richard, I like the photo displays on there but at times it is frustrating to use. I think it got worse when Smugmug bought it. Postimg looks good for everyone, will you still be able to use it for your albums, galleries etc or do you have to use somewhere else? Steve

I sympathise, many years ago I and a bunch of friends helped a friend to pick up and move a snooker table. Fortunately it had been disassembled but it took six of us to lift the slate table top. The plan was to put it in his basement play room, that didn’t happen, ended up in the dining room much to his wife’s chagrin. It’s still there 40 odd years later, heaviest dining table you ever did see. We did have lots of fun though, never tried naked snooker looks like fun, especially when playing with the lovely Vanessa.
