Good Morning All,

Thank you for all your messages and comments; have been pretty busy the past week and haven't had a lot of opportunity to attend to the thread.

So much going on....all around the world. I have a real sense of living through history.

I've realised that Gifs can no longer be attached here i.e. they won't play automatically on the page; so that little avenue of pleasure has been cut off also.

Am in the process of putting together the remaining fellow dress photos that we have and will post them on SP. There may be one or two more somewhere to come across.

...........these times, for me, were the '60's. Probably even more "good 'ol days".

No doubt every generation since the stone age has thought the same as we do... in this day and age. "It was better when blah blah" but if we're honest, many things were not as good as they are today.....the list could be quite extensive. However, back in our day, we would head outside after breakfast, roam far and wide and be back by lunch or dinner time. Nowadays, if a kid or kids did that they'd be listed as a missing person, the police would be after you and you'd get a mention on the evening news.

I remember my Dad driving me and my mates (in our early teens) to any one of the northern beaches in Sydney, in his ute, to go surfing. Our boards would be sticking well out the back of the car, and we'd be sitting in the back as well or up on the side, wind in hair etc etc. Didn't need air con on a hot day! It was just the best of times. We all survived to adulthood. Can you imagine that happening today? ...we'd be locked up and the key thrown away.
