Vampire stories?

I'm wanting to write a vampire story, but I've read two so far, and both focus more on the mind control aspect, and in one of them the victim dying from an orgasmic bite cum bloodloss.

I have this idea rattling around my head about the 'victim' shall we say, that is immune to mind control, whether through witch powers, totem whatever (still to decide), and concerntrating more on the seductive powers of the vampire. So it becomes a clash of wills as each try to lure the other, the 'victim' into the bed of the vampire, the vampire to their death. I don't want the 'victim' to feel grateful for the vampire sucking their blood. Although I am a sucker for a happy ending (pun intended).

Does this appeal?

I think a lot of the appeal of vamp stories is the seductiveness of their darkness....Coppola got that right in his Dracula.

"Older" as in a well seasoned vampyre, or older in the sense that the woman was older when she turned?
