i went to my first munch with shy slave last night. an old boy had brought a vampire glove with him and was showing it around, demonstrating on peoples arms.

it was so strange...as soon as it stroked up my arm i dropped instantly...never had anything like that before...every time it touched me i was just gone and i spent the rest of the night grinning to myself in the corner. it wasn't him at all, it was just the sensation.

Master has a set of them and they are interesting to say the least. I have never had the kind of reaction you had to them but they can both be tantalizing when used softly and more pain provoking when used more harshly. They are quite fun at times though

the thread title is perhaps misleading because the thread topic is more about dropping so rapidly to a particular sensation rather than the actual tool used. i tried running a search in that but it was a but harder to find something relevant.

Sub-drop, or sub-space? i can understand the difficulty in finding that of which you speak since the label (and spelling) of "not there, driven into lala land by act/device/words of a BDSM nature, and enjoying the hell out of it" varies from one person to the next.

wasn't a playmate, just a man in the group we were talking to...he had brought the glove and several people winced at the sight of it. he showed them how it felt by stroking it up their arms.

I think you might be underestimating the setting in order to gauge and evaluate the reaction you had. How many people watched you being touched by him iwth the glove on? How many people who support you in D/s and would never denigrate you like members of the general public?

the situation was none of those things really.
people weren't watching (until i reacted)
i've always been openly kinky and nobody has ever denigrated me for it.
it was a bunch of people meeting in a bar...i wasn't feeling especially excited or nervous.

the sensation though, i can't describe it fully. i could feel ever point and there were dozens. the gentle stroke combined with the sharp scratching was just...urm...
i think i could feel that in almost any relaxed situation and it'd hit me the same way.
