Valentines gifts

My wife is in Iraq right now... and can't really have all that much stuff, in fact she has too much already. So what she will get on V-day is a long letter (about 10 pages) some godiva chocolates, and some things for the laptop she recieved for xmas.
Still since I couldn't do much more than that from here, I have worked on some things for her to have when she gets home. We had only been in the place for about 2 months when she was deployed... so I have been buying some of her favorite prints and framing them. Also a really nice featherbed... and some new 800tc sheets... both of which wont be used until she gets home.
There's still our anniversary... and her birthday to go before she gets to come home... so who knows what she will have waiting for her in the end.
As far as requests for V-day... I really just like to be surprised... or if I have to make some sort of request I will just choose to go do something together.

Living 7 hours apart we had to get creative... He's going to get His gift in parts by mail starting tomorrow and lasting until V-day. Each little gift holds some meaning to us - a comic strip that captures what life is like in our house, a poem that always scrolls through my mind when i think about Him, a book of chess problems for Him to play on His work breaks. Each little thing will be accompanied by hints about what i have planned for Him when i get to see Him at the end of the month. It is my hope that our week together this month will be most interesting....

Well, I'm getting K some Abbot and Costello movies. When he was a kid he and his dad would watch Abbot and Costello every Sunday morning after church, and he wants to do that with our kids.
As for what he's getting me, I'd bet he's getting me another rose bush. I dont' want dying roses, so he buys me a bush, and we put it in a big pot. Someday, when we own our own house, I'll plant them, and it'll be like a heritage or something. That's also what I get for anniversary's.

Hopefully mom will watch both kids so I can cook something that actually requires forks and knives. Or we'll go out. I'll probably get him a book, he's an avid reader.

I have no idea what is instore for me, and that link on the main bdsm page that tells me not to read has me figeting...
but as for him, I think a really special dinner if we don't go out, possibly find someone to pup sit and really just have a day or two together w/o any responsibilities other then to be S.S. C... maybe make him something special for our box of fun.

Sounds like most of you are prepared.
My present came in the mail today. It's a new play collar with several rings to tie things to. I guess we'll break it in over the weekend.
I got his present as well. It's a cliche, but that's ok. It's a paddle with heart shaped cutouts. I imagine I'll have appropriate marks for V day.
