I have had one good Valentine's Day in my life.
That was is 2001.
I'm shooting for number two this year, and it's looking good.
The reason is clear.

Commercial crap is my opinion.

Who needs a special day in the year to show your love for someone special - don't you always do that?

Yeah, it is over comercialized. And I do try to show my love every day in every way that I can think of how very much she means to me. But you know, it is nice to have an event to say it in a formal, explicit way that is unanbigious. Its fun to celebrate!

Valentine's Day has been a weird, awkward holiday for me for the past 3 years. I haven't dated anyone exclusively (my choice), and I never know what expectations and plans are going to be for that day- i.e, if the guy(s) I'm dating want to go out to dinner, or if we're supposed to exchange gifts, and if we are, how much should I spend, etc....
Fucking bummer.
