Hey guys. I have a question cause my gf and I have been having a problem.

My gf is late this month. The last two times I have fingered her, there has been some light bleeding about an hour later. There was no pain for her during or after the fingering. Both times she thought it was her period but then, after inserting a tampon, several hours later there was no blood. We have done plenty of this before with no bleeding whatsoever. Please help.

We haven't had sex together (college kids, taking it slow, for now, lol). Is it possible for some sperm to be picked up from a sheet or something onto a finger and then my finger inside of her, or is that wayyyy too rare for the sperm to survive.

I she on the pill? (I doubt it sense you haven't had sex, pregnant would have been my first guess though). Sometimes a woman can bleed a little in between periods if the dose isn't strong enough.

Otherwise, she should ask her doc. Or look it up on the net. The net knows all. ;)

women can some times bleed at ovulation and sometimes it seems that there is a bit of blood left that gets expelled after you come.

How regular is her period, is she charting it? is she a vegan or marathon runner? Does she get any cramping with this blood?

Its probably nothing but I would see a gyno and have a pap test just incase.

She's calling her gyno today and gonna get an appointment, I was just hoping Lit might have some answers. I'm worried about her.

No she isn't on the pill. No her period isn't regular, but it's been 7 weeks (last month she was a week early, now she's 2 weeks late) No she isn't a vegan or marathon.

And yesterday she did say there was a bit of cramping with the blood, which is why she thought it was her period, but then it wasn't.

Thanks guys - any more info is greatly appreciated.

You bet she can get pregnant if your finger first comes in contact with your sperm and then you inset it into her. Same thing for pre cum. Plenty enough of those little fellows in there to get her in the motherly way.

It would be more diffecult from a sheet but if anything has live sperm on it, it can be transferred with help.

Okay I'll go with the obvious first. Did you happen to have a ragged nail or cuticle? I know you're lookin at this like I'm nuts but the inside of a womans vagina for all it's resiliency is easily torn or irritated. It may be possible you scratched her if you were fingering a bit to rough. Laugh all you want but it's happened to me before.
Other then that I'll say that yes, if you transfer live sperm inside the vaginal cavity whether it be by penis, fingers or turkey baster there is a chance that the woman can become pregnant. Yeah you'd be talking about one determined little booger but I have a 2 month old that is a testament to the determination of a headstrong sperm.
As someone else said, cramping and a little light bleeding during ovulation is not unheard of but have the OBGYN do an exam just to be safe.

In addition to what has already been stated, your g/f may have a blood vessel that is very close to the surface within the vagina. I had this and everytime I was penetrated I would bleed as though my period was starting. After a few hours, the bleeding would stop. (Of course, because of the closeness of menopause in my circumstance, my vaginal walls are thinning, so the bleeding was more pronounced than if I was younger. This getting old thing SUCKS!)

Anyway, if it is an errant blood vessel (which will come up in an exam as long as she tells her Gyno all that is happening), it is easy enough to fix and can be done in an office visit.

It's good thing she's going to doctor. Better safe by doing that than trying to guess.

Good luck!

She started her period this morning so it's all good but thanks for the advice. She's going to the doc anyway.

Also - I thought about the nail thing, but I checked them, they were all good :)
