For some reason people seem to post once and then never post again so not sure if they found somebody to fully concentrate on or if they just are lurkers but we need people to post their thoughts here if the thread is going to remain active.

Anybody interested in a happy hour some evening this week? Clydes in Rockville is a good place. There is the beer garden in Tysons Corner as well as several places near the Mall. I don't go downtown DC much anymore but I am sure there are lots of places downtown. I am also sure there are places in Alexandria or Arlington that could also be fun. I can drive anyplace in the DMV area if anybody is interested in a get together. Just need a few people but the more the better.

Lots of guys in VA but seem to have a lack of women here. Hopefully we are not experiencing the same problem as in China right now where there are millions of more men than there are women. Maybe the women of VA are just shy.

Yeah, there is certainly a lack of women on the thread. I guess there are no topics that interest them since they seem to post once never to return but then the ladies could contribute and make the thread more interesting so kind of a catch-22 here. Maybe it is the women of Virginia just don't have many sexual thoughts. Don't really know but guess it is time to let the thread fade away.

Evey time I have ventured here mostly men. Now I have nothing against men and have many good friends, however I come here for the fairer sex which appears to be missing.

I totally agree with you. I just don't understand why there are no women that post on the thread. I was out at the Biergarten and Pasties last night in the Tysons Corner area and there were lots of women partaking of adult beverages so there are women in Virginia but woefully lacking on this thread.

Just trying to keep the thread moving along. In case anyone is interested, Big Doings up in Winchester, Fredrick & Clarke counties this weekend. All Civil War related. Tours of the Kernstown Battlefield, several homes in the area dating back to the 1860’s. There will be stuff for kids & adults ranging from period re- enactors, to 1860’s photography, cooking,& how folks lived through the war that raged around them for 4 years. Most of the events are Free, take advantage.

Sounds like it would be a lot of fun. I am playing in a golf tournament tomorrow and will be working repaving a patio out back on Sunday so won't be able to make it down there but I do enjoy the civil war reenactments. Is this something they do once a year or just every so often?

Having been living here in the Valley for only 2 years it’s hard to judge. Most of the re-enactments take place between May & October on dates closest to the actual battle. But there are many other kinds of programs throughout the year focusing on a wide variety of topics. I would “ assume “ it’s the same in Maryland & Northern Va. the following website may be of help for folks up & down the Valley & just over the Blueridge. www. ShenandoahAtWar.org. Just be advised they are always looking for new members to join in the fight for preserving battlefield land & such. But they do put many fine programs on year round. I will also disclose that I am a Volunteer for them for the past year & a half. Good Luck on your golf ️ outing tomorrow. Hit ‘em long & straight. Slainte
