This is especially for the ladies:

Why do you wear v-string panties?

Obviously they're very sexy, but I'm talking about wearing them in situations where they aren't immediately visible. Sometimes I will see them sticking out of a woman's pants and wonder why she's wearing them if they are covered up...not that I mind the fact she is wearing them.

Okay, educate me.... I haven't heard of a "v-string." Is it the same thing as a g-string??

Yeah it is; some snobbish lingerie institution decided g-string wasn't ladylike and decided to call their line of g-strings "v-strings".

And we wear it because it is sexy, it doesn't show you're wearing panties through tight pants or a tight skirt, and if you gently rock back and forth on your chair wearing one... well it feels good. And I do not like to see the v-string poke out of her pants, so I try to not let mine stick out either; accidents do happen though.

Are you sure about that? I thought a g-string had just a string in the back and a v-string had a v-shaped piece of material attached where the rear should be.

There are many variants. Technically, a thong never narrows beyond about .25 inches. If the fabric narrows beyond that you've got a G-string, not a thong. Some models narrow to a string in back, then widen out again as you go up the back. Other models just have the string run all the way up to the waistband. Victoria's Secret, perhaps the biggest seller of thongs in America, has several styles: high waist, thong, low-rise thong, their version of the g-string (the V-string), the Extreme T-string. A newer style is the "boythong". This is a pair of panties that do not fully cover your rear, but they have substantially more fabric in back than a thong. These new hybrid panties usually are about 3 inches from top to bottom when laid out. Thongs and their cousins come in a wide variety of fabrics, cotton, polyester, lycra etc.

But opinions and origins may vary, I guess, like for this other very old and complicated issue: who discovered spaghetti; the chinese or the italians?

Because sometimes you like to feel sexy under your clothes. And I usually don't wear my clothes for other people, I wear them for myself. So, it doesn't matter if someone else sees how it looks.../I/ know how it looks.

only a man would have invented a g string or v string cause what women would really want a constant wedgie riding up her butt all the time?

So which is it? Do you ladies like em or not?
I'm not gonna presume to speak for all ladies, but I can take them or leave them. They're not so great for everyday wear. Not for me, at least. I hate giving myself a wedgie every time I bend over to pick up a kid.

Depends on the fit...the ones that give wedgies are a pain in the butt...ooops sorry :) The ones that fit so you can forget you're wearing them are great...yup make me feel sexy...but I sure don't want anyone seeing them when I've got my clothes on!

Yeah I guess it depends on the individual and the panties. I've talked to women who swear by em and ones that wouldn't have em.
They sure are fun to look at tho. :D

You're good at that huh, LOL
Don't know about that, but I do have a mind that seems to find the other option, now if I could just use it for good..........

Coincidence

I kid you not.....the t-shirt I have on says the very SAME thing as the illustration in your sig line!

"Good girl go to heaven, Bad girls go everywhere." ;) Nice philosophy!

"V" for Vagina??? ;) Yeah, clever letter change that was...

And...I always thought that was the difference between a thong and a g-string... go figure. ;)

My sentiments exactly. ;)

yeah, but unlike regular undies that can get wedged up, at least a g-string STAYS wedged. You get used to it after a while and don't "feel" it anymore....kinda like a tampon. ;)

But it's sooooo hot. I'm sure the exhibitionist in you would love showing it off to a complete stranger

honestly, i like thongs. They make up the majority of my underwear. Yes they are sexy feeling (the cloth of your pants or skirt or the feeling of air or a chair instead of your underwear), but honestly a lotof the the ones i wear are very plain and are actually comfortable... *gasp*

If you feel like you've got a "wedgie" then somehting is wrong with the thong you're wearing. The pointof a thong isthat there's no material TO BE wedged anywhere... Just a little bit of elastic or whatever, that you can't really feel.

For guys, honestly i actually like wearing bikini briefs more often. If they're seeing your underwear then most likely they are going to be seeing your naked rear eventuitally, so why not ass to the imagination and teasing by putting on a pair of bikini undies. The elastic at the side emphasize the hip while the back coverage keeps them imagining and intrested... When you pull them down it's somehting new for them to stare at instead of pulling a thong down and them looking at the same thing... minus a string.

I cna't stand it when i see prosta-tots int he mall with their thongs hanging out. I want to give them a wedgie so bad.

Didn't I say 'accidents do happen though'...? But anyway, it's passe and tacky to have your thong/g-string/v-string poke out of your jeans. Try being clumsy and missing a step in the stairway; of course you didn't put panties under your dress that morning and missing the steps you find yourself upside down, flashing everybody in the process. THAT is talent (and not taking yourself too seriously!)
