Using Firefox on Lit pages

In my use of Firefox on Literotica, several user controls and buttons do not work as expected, or as working in Chrome.

Search controls don't respond properly. Advanced Search is not available from the Wheel button.

On story pages, User New Comment offers no block for a comment title. Nor does the page offer a button to complete the comment. Even with text in the Comment box, hovering a cursor over my UserName causes display of a message, "Your message can't be empty."

Do these behaviors relate to disabling Java in FF? I had added an extension, "JS Toggle Off and Off", but allowing JS seems not to help.

Any advice to make Firefox work on Lit pages?

You have to refresh the page ( sometimes even restart the browser ) for changes you've made in extensions to take effect.

I would also check to make sure you've whitelisted Lit in any adblock software you have running. There are very few ads on Lit anyway, and most of them are hosted on server, meaning you don't have to worry about all the malware that can sometimes infect ads from adult ad companies. So far as I can tell, all of Lit's ads are direct, rather than coming from a middle man who may or may not vet the content they're pushing.

The strangest things can get flagged as ads by ad blockers. Mine was blocking facebook and twitter buttons.

I just did a test, and I had not whitelisted search.literotica.com in Firefox yet, so I was able to duplicate the behavior with the gear that you're reporting. I whitelisted that subdomain, refreshed the page, and the gear icon worked as expected. Until I refreshed the page, it would not work. After a refresh, it works every time.

Start by whitelisting Lit and possibly the subdomains you use such as search in any script blockers you have running. I suspect that's the issue.

Better Now

Thanks, RejectReality!

I wasn't running an ad blocker, but I did have NoScript active, so I "Trusted" the Lit site, restarted FireFox, and the pages do behave much better.

Only remaining issue is the lack of a Title Box for Comment entries.

Thanks again!
