how can i use an image (the image is available on a direct link site) for a hyperlink in my sig, rather than using text?

With the missing square brackets [] at the beginning and end: the URL of the Image

As far as I know, just hit return before you type the rest of your signature. If that doesn't work, I have no idea.

a hard return won't do it - i was thinking of the the html code <br> but i dont understand the code used here

I have lots of answers, but I have never claimed to have ALL of the answers.

Try [*COLOR=White].[/COLOR] (minus the asterisk, of course)

It isn't a true break, but it will look like one to 99.9999% of the people who see it.

well i had tried that color "technique" but it was still visible on the gray shaded sections - but following your advice i used [*color=white][/color] without the dot in between and voila!
