I got recently three identical "Private messages":

URGENT: Your email address appears to be bad!
Our script has determined that the email address you have on file with
Literotica is bouncing mail back to us. Because of this, you have been
unsubscribed from all thread notifications. Please update your email
address right away so that the problem does not re-occur in the future. We
ask that everyone keep a valid email address in your account. Thank you for
understanding and take care!

This is an automated message, but you may reply via PM if you have questions.

Literotica

Is it real or a dirty trick? And if this is real then how come there is no user friendly hint how to go about fulfilling their request? What do they think? That we don't have anything better to do than to store in our poor brains all kind of junk forever?

What user is it coming from?

If it is real, you need to go to this page and enter a new email address where it says New Email Address.

out of sinc with the system

Thank you. I followed the link provided by you, and then, after changing my email address, I immediately tried to answer your post. I couldn't! Thus I followed your link again, and changed my email addresss back to the old one. I tried to answer your post again but I still couldn't. Thus out of sheer desperation I tried to edit my own post, which has started this thread. The nasty system let me do the editing in the edit window, and only when I tried to save and post my text it told me "no-no-no, no such thing for you" (in a bit different words). Now I decided to find email address of one of you, mods, in my gmail box. Only then I saw a message from Literotica, that I should still confirm the change of the address. Since I was changing that address back and forth, it took still more doing, but somehow I finally-finally-finally managed. I love computers but computers (like you, guys) hate me. Anyway, I have updated my email address.

It was a virgin user "Literotica". Its post to me, dated: 01-18-2009, 08:00 PM, was only its 5th.

Thank you, Lauren (truly, no sarcasm intended!!! :),

Just an addendum. This seems to happen if your e-mail server allows your received mail to build up until full, new mail then gets bounced back. Some have unlimited space, others not.
