Upscale Family

Roger's hands almost slid up to cup her breasts, but he stopped short and slowly pulled back. "Careful, don't want the icing to burn." he wispered, trying to redistance himself from the situation, before he totally started making out with her. "Forgive the distraction." he half teased, "Would you like me to set the table?" he inquired of her, thinking that they might need a little space, even if he wanted to kiss her on the mouth yet again, and never let her go.

The feel of him pulling back brought a small, almost regretful sounding whimper from Liliana's lips, but she didn't fight him. Shivering, she moved the icing, well whipped, from the eye of the stove and then went to pull the brownies out of the oven. Laying them on two hot pads on the counter, she put the icing next to it. "Best to put it on while it's hot... I'll set the table if you'd like to do that."

Moving, she went back to where she'd be gathering the dishes to set the table with and picked up the stack. Walking out into the dining room, she began to set the table in an efficient manner, just in time for the phone to start ringing. Pausing, she moved over and picked it up from the reciever.

"Hearthie residence," she said politely, and soon was speaking to someone on the other line. "Yes ma'am, I will surely let them know." After a few moments, she hung up and returned to kitchen. "Mrs. Hearthie says she wont be home tonight, they've rescheduled the business meetings that they'd originally had planned for today, pushed them back until tomorrow morning, so she's just going to stay at the penthouse there."

When Liliana came in to tell Roger the news he glared at the ceiling above her head. "Thanks for telling me." he said his shoulders slumping in defeat. Not like he wanted to see his overcontroling wife, but he wished the situation with her was different, he was just tired of his life, and the way it was. He turned back to his brownies icing them slowly, the weariness and tension shown in his posture as he methodically worked.

Lilliana went back to setting the table, the awkward silence that had been left in the kitchen after she'd told Roger the news weighing heavily on her. She didn't want to be the bearer of bad news to him... he was such a nice man. Unfortunately though, it seemed nearly impossible to avoid it in situations like this.

One the table was set, she went into the kitchen, moving the roast from the crockpot to a serving platter, slicing about half of it for easy pickings, then arranging the cooked carrots and potatos around it. Pouring the gravy into a gravy boat, she carried things out into the dining room, now only set for three, and not four. Arranging everything on the table, she poured three tall glasses of iced tea and set them out as well.

Once the table was set, she went in to where he likely was finished icing the brownies. "Diner is served, sir," she said politely, moving the brownies to the oven and setting them there, where they wouldn't burn the counter tops at all. Moving next to the intercom, she pressed the buttons that would allow her to page into both of the children's rooms. "Dinner is served."

Roger Hearthie considered Liliana after she paged the children, and sithed, "You cooked for four, no sense four shouldn't eat." he said laying a hand on her shoulder, "Join us? Would you?" he asked his eyes almost seeming to pleed softly. This was a lost and lonely man, but was enviting the maid to dinner the best plan. Would it make his children suspicious? He honestly didn't know. He reached around her to the intercom and punched the same buttons she had pushed, "You won't mind if Liliana joins us for dinner, would you?" he asked. He considered her after he released the buttons, "Unless you think it would be too awkward, with what has transpired between us?" he asked, making his first acknowledgement that something was happening between them.

Seb hit the moment "Sure that would be great " looking back at Maddy Seb smiled "Shall we dine my dear" he held out his arm for his older sister, his ace in the hole.

As his mind once more turned to Liliana.

"We shall dine" Madison said, exagerrating the rather posh language they had suddenly started using, as a sort of a mocking joke towards her family. Oh sure she loved them, more so after he subject of love had been gotten rid of, perhaps now she wouldn't have to constantly cover her tracks about her preferance.

More than wanting to eat, Madison wanted to see that beauty of a maid once more. She craved the sight of her. She wanted more, and she would get more, even if that meant stepping on her dear brothers plans to take Liliana for his own.

Liliana blushed at Roger's request, and by the time he finally asked the children if they minded if she eat with them, she was left to stand there, flustered at all the attention. "I don't know sir... there is still a lot of work to be done..." she said softly, lifting her eyes to look up at him as she chewed on her lower lip. "It's really not my place..." she added in a quiet voice, hoping he wouldn't be offended.

Part of her wanted to take him up on his offer, but she worried that Mrs. Hearthie may return home anyway and catch her sitting in her spot at the table... that would end disastrously, she was sure.
