Uprising: Land of Confusion (Attempt two)

let's try this again, and hope to get some more feminine interest this time (none at all last time)

okay, so i've been listening to the song Land of Confusion a lot (both Genesis' version AND Disturbed's) and watching the Disturbed video for the song. and it just occurred to me that it would be possible to make an RP based on the concept of the video.

so here's my proposal. in a modern day settings, the corporations are slowly taking over. Not all of them have an interest in politics, but some do whatever they can to get the government to bend to their will. as such, the government is slowly being seduced by the promise of money from companies selling fossil fuels, weapons, and other ways of destruction and devastation. and so it happens that one group of corporations get together, and design suits of special armor and sell them, not just to their own countries, but to most of the world powers, and convince those in charge to do a complete hostile takeover. the resulting totalian regime all but destroys major cities using the weapons provided by the companies, fighting against each other's forces, but because their equipment is identical, the soldiers can't tell who's who, and start taking orders from the corporations, instead of the governments they are supposed to serve. the result is a massive army of identical stormtroopers that sweeps across the globe, conquering nation after nation.

however, unbeknownst to those corporations, several other corporations have been working together on projects to stop the spread. these corporations realize that if the people aren't free to choose, then the corporations will lose money, and go bankrupt. these projects end up being living weapons, either created entirely in a lab or altered from test subjects chosen for specific traits and ideals.

they don't necessarily have to appear human, but they fight against the soldiers of the conquerors, inspiring the people to fight as well, hence the title, Uprising.

i'd like to see some interest before i post a profile template, so if anyone finds this idea interesting....

i'd also like to limit this to six, maybe seven characters, plus NPCs

you say that the projects are neccessarily human..could you elaborate what you mean by that.

no no no...i mean they don't necessarily have to APPEAR human. meaning they could have been altered to the point that they look demonic or something (like the guy in the video) or grown into some sort of animalistic creature in a test tube or something.

Guardian

Traxon looks almost normal, except for his brilliant green eyes that look like they belong on a dragon. His hair is long, shiny black, and tied back in a tight braid, except for a couple of locks that frame his features. Because of his eyes, he usually wears very dark sunglasses. He also is usually seen sporting Tripp pants, a dark shirt, and an anklelength leather coat. His tanned skin makes him stand out less, which is good for him. His body is of about average build, but he's tall, at 6'3".
Traxon was always unusual. In school, he showed a remarkable aptitude for most subjects, as well as for getting into and surviving fights. Shortly after getting arrested under false pretenses by a rookie cop who filed false charges against him, he was approached by a rather odd woman who claimed she worked for a corporation that wanted to hire him. He agreed, of course. Too bad at the time he didn't have a clue what he was getting into. While it was clear she DID work for the corporation in question, he had to wonder if she were playing them for fools. She taught him to awaken powers within him that he hadn't even known he had. Of course, it was the corporation that altered his appearance, and gave him the knowledge to control his powers, as well as a purpose.

Powers/Abilities: as a result of breaking the seals that bound his innate abilities, Traxon is faster, stronger, smarter, and more powerful physically and mentally. He can interface remotely with computers, or any device that has a microchip in it (such as radios, tvs). He is also able to project energy in various forms (such as his favorites, taken from the anime Naruto...Chidori, and the 4th Hokage's personal jutsu). He also is capable of limited flight

Appearance: Like a human wolf hybrid.
History: Unknown cannot talk in human language but can understand it. Has amnesia and can’t remember anything about his past. All he knows is what his mission is.

Powers/Abilities: Increased human reflexes, and sense capabilities. He is faster and has a greater endurance, with sharp claws, which he uses as weapons. He relies on his superior hunting, adaptation and stealth capabilities along with his knowledge of martial arts to destroy his enemies. His strength is also increased. (Basically he is a super were-wolf with human mentalities.)

Appearance: slender and tall, with a slim waist hips and modest breats
Long black hair with a silver streek through the bangs, sky blue eyes

Powers/Abilities: super human strength and yeah the ability to fly do to her black feathed wings that are tipped with silver spike she can use as projectiles.

Angela had been a normal college student, and spent most of her spear time working to pay off tution, when a woman had appraoched her and offered her a job at a corporation, as a researcher. Angela had taken the job not knowing what she would be doing was researching the effects of a certain drug that had the ability to mutate the user.

Angela had been given the drug without her own knowledge. One day she had awoken and went to kitchen, opening the fridge she had accidentally pulled the door off the hinges. Later that day she had felt a tearing sensation in her back, and next thing she knew it was after dark and she had wings.

Going back to the corporation for answers they had given her a code name and offered her a life of secrecy, where none would try to harm her if she would work as a sort of soldier in the battle for humankind. However she was dissillusiond and found out that she was nothing more then a pawn in the corporate struggle for profit.

A short while later she left the corporation and struck out on her own.

Just a little person.

I don't have a lot of time but I had an interesting concept. A kind of mission control person. Like Saturn Girl in The Legion. Telepathic to a small extent capable of linking minds.

So the concept being she can Mind link the team but can't really read their thoughts, but can transmit to any of them. Sort of a field radio. Makes it much easier to deal with your foes if they don't know what you're planning but you can still communicate.

Appearance: (Searching for an image) Short Cropped Dark hair with a darker tan skin tone. Looks frail almost light but always wide eyes and observant. Approximately 5'6 and 110.
Powers: Mindlinking. Also an excellent observer and lip reader with Eidetic Memory.
Coporate Sponsor: Union Aerospace.

Apate is completely Mute and Deaf, and relies on her mindlink and other learned abilities to compensate. She was previously employed by Union Aerospace. Who gentically engineered her memory and recognition patterns, and gave her her field abilities of Mindlinking.

I hope to play very small roles mostly there to explain controls or help by allowing a cop-out to communication and OOC knowledge of other people.

Appearance: Anka looks like any normal person who has undergone intense and painful testing to be made into a guardian of sorts. She had long black hair, until they shaved half of it off so they could monitor her cerebral output. They used different chemicals and drugs, turning her skin purple, more of a lavender. Eventually they had to rebuild her right arm from the middle over her forearm to just above her elbow during a trial run.
Corporate sponsor: BioGen
Powers/Abilities: Very intuned with the world around her. She can sense things and hear things, even see things. She has a receiver implanted in her brain that lets her see the timers of people's life spans and when they're going to end. She is very strong and has magnetic powers.

Anka was a in charge of the animals in the BioGen corporation, making sure to keep them in great living conditions. Eventually she was picked to be the human test specimen without her consent. She is now supposed to be fighting for the very people that turned her into the purple freak she is.
