Update on Luna~

Hey everyone... Luna's friend PM me back. This is what she said:
Ya, she's having a lot of trouble again. There trying to get her into a different hospital since home care is not going as well.

I'm also sending any well wishes, too. I have to say, I've never seen anything like this. They can't seem to pin down what's wrong and this has been going on for months now. Maybe something will change with a different hospital. I hope so; she was doing better... then this happened.

I'll keep a check on facebook and keep in touch with her friend. Maybe next time I'll have good news.

I had hoped the next time I posted I'd have good news... I don't, I'm afraid. Luna's friend PM me about an hour ago on Facebook:

~Luna Ella Aldora is back in the hospital. She went to her doctors today and he had her be taken via ambulance to the hospital. Luna has gotten worse again and she will be meeting with the doctor tomorrow morning. I know the hospital she is at and it is a good one. Very good doctors there. Prayers and positive energy are needed. She's very weak and unable to do much if anything at all. Her mom is with her at the hospital and staying with her over night since Luna can not speak. So her mom is going to be her voice and advocate. Please as I said pray and send positive energy to her and her family and mostly Luna's 3 year old pixy. For she is confused and unsure of what is all going on with her Mommy.~

I PM Aurora back and told her I'd post her message here at Lit. and said we were praying for her. Maybe I'll hear something late tomorrow. When I do I'll pass the word on. Fingers crossed this new set of doctors can find out what's wrong.

looking forward to being surrounded by so much Light and Love and whole being Healing this week

i have such wonderful nurses/CNAs and friends here - i'm stirring up trouble too - i was mobile with my chair at home and ill be damned if im gonna lose that again - so even though i'm a 1-assist, i have been hopping in and out of the chair and bed - me getting into bed "lean over flop face first and wiggle like a fish" i got "scolded" - - my upper body strength is good...no drop-down arm on commode? No problem, this faery just scoots herself butt first using arms to hop back on it...hm I might be catching up to Aurora Rose Andromeda's arm muscles (yah, right!)...OT working on hand-writing (got some coloring books to try and get the motion down and not have to "think" so hard) with me and more strengthening...PT is working on strengthening and getting me on my feet (OOOUUUCH!) -

slowly unraveling the mystery that is me - but calmed with the assurance that as horrid as they are, the seizures are not causing damage to my brain and the paralysis will recede when I "come out" of it - huge difference with a doctor who has a good bedside manner and does anything to rule out and uncover the source - got a lot of work to do!

dr is working on getting me into the rehab hospital - at some point soon he is sending out someone from there to evaluate me and my needs - today has been very trying...my roommate woke me at 5am screaming "you have to get up...we have to go...we have slept too many hours...ur boss will not like it..." and never went back to sleep - it took half hour for them to calm her down - poor dear - i pray it is only a uti or something and not more brain damage from her car accident - what will she do when i leave? i ring the bell for her, i make sure she eats, doesn't try to stand up, and all without a voice - they will have to put her with someone who is aware and able to advocate for her

speech came with more cognitive practice after a really bad episode and i was so scrambled up that i couldnt answer simple logic questions - sigh

pt tried a few new things with me but my knees are just so damn weak - i really and truly need to be at a more intensive therapy place - please keep fingers crossed, positive thoughts, love coming ♥ i feel every one of them! thanks

slave_ and I noticed how that is so very typical of Luna even in her condition to care so much for her roommate. Hard to imagine a purer, kinder and sweeter soul.

New message from Luna on FB

my 75 yr old roommate is hoot (when pain meds don't make her loopy - brain trauma from car accident)... shes all about the hot guys and when she heard that i write romance, her eyes lit up - then i told her "it's a bit naughtier than that" and she chuckled and said "naughty is good, bring on the hot guys" one of the male aides helped her into bed the other night and she was giddy telling me all about the "hot guy" that put her to bed

i hope when i leave here they find her another roommate that will help her the way i do - because she forgets to ring her bell, forgets she cant walk, etc...she told me last night "you know you've really explained things to me about this place that have made it easier on me and i thank you so much for that" it was nice to hear and to know that she's improving - yesterday i had an eval that took 3 hrs and when i came back she was near tears with worry "i didnt know where you went, i even prayed for you' - i think that her telling me that means shell be ok - shes in good hands - i communicate with her by typing large font word doc

*Laugh* doesn't that just sound like Luna? It seems like things may be looking up for her a little. She still can't speak though and that's worrisome.
