Ok here I was drinking lemonaid & eating a red vine when I had this urge to use the red vine as a straw... That got me to thinking... what else do people mix together? I've heard of popcorn with onion dip... what else?

Melted cheese on toast with chocolate sauce.

Mmmmm....food

How's this for appetizing:

Miracle Whip spread on plain ol' white bread!

MMMmmm.... one of my faves! :p

2 tsp butter
4 tsp blue cheese (one of the mellower ones works best)
3 cloves of garlic minced
dash of lemon juice

Makes the best dip on good tortilla chips that I know of.

When I was younger it was peanut butter sandwhiches dipped in Pepsi. (Don't ask, I was a severly messed up child.)

I like to dip McDonalds fries into the hot topping on a chocolate sundae. I also like to stuff the cheeseburger (no pickle) with fries as well.

Hey, you asked!

I dip the fries in to thier soft serv ice cream...
oh... I do the stuffed cheeseburger thing too... :D

A salad sandwich with peanut butter on the bread also.... don't ask how I discovered this but I've been eating the cobo for for about 20 years now :)

I have a friend who literally covers her watermelon in salt! Gross!!

My SO has a bad habit of eating raw diced garlic on toast! (he thinks I won't notice...lol)

When I was pregnant,I ate the spread that was made up of pineapple, cream cheese, and pecans and dipped salt and vinegar chips into it.

Now that was a combo. ;)

That's actually a fairly healthy (if kissing deterent) snack. Garlic is good for your heart. One of my father's favorite dishes is baked garlic. You bake a head of garlic, peel the semi cooled cloves, dip in a little bit of lemon butter, and eat. It's actually not bad.

Please educate a confused englishman.

A red vine is a red licorice that is hollow and sealed on both ends. Alot of people use a vine as a straw by biting the ends off and sticking it into a soda or drink can.

I lived on cream cheese and jelly sandwiches for like the first ten years of my life.

:D
Don't tell me, let me guess . . . "Philly" Brand, right?

Just stopped by to add this one,

Spaghettio's and a few thin slices of mozzarella cheese. Never tried it, but heard it's yummy.

Wiggles and bbq sauce, mmmmmmmmm

Done the whole bread & Miracle Whip thing too. But seperate from the above. ^

:p

I don't think I do any true "weird" food combos - unless I have the muchies on those rare occasions that I get stoned....then ANY combo is fair game! ;)

I like putting grated parmesan cheese on my buttered popcorn...but again, I don't think that's weird...just tasty....

I also don't understand why anyone would want to put salt on their fruit. What, the natural sweetness is just too much for you?

And Mellon Collie - cream cheese and jelly sandwiches are extremely popular - but mostly with folks from the east coast, and mostly with people over the age of 50.... George Burns and Art Carney even order them when they visit Las Vegas in "Going In Style" - "I'll have a cream cheese and jelly sandwich on rye bread, sweetheart, and a cup of coffee." It was also a running joke on an episode of "The Odd Couple" - Felix had moved out, and Oscar had to cook for himself. He offers the poker guys cream cheese and jelly sandwiches and Murray (I think) takes one and bites into it. It crunches. He looks up at Oscar and says "Is cream cheese and jelly on white bread supposed to make a noise?" The poker guys leave, and Felix returns and makes up with Oscar. He's hungry. Oscar gives him a sandwich. Felix bites into it. It crunches. "Is cream cheese and jelly on white bread supposed to make a noise?"

Me & BBQ sauce eh? I'll have to try that. I'm always into trying new things. :D

Here are a couple from my childhood...

Potato chip sandwiches:
Version 1: white bread, mayo, Lays Original potato chips
Thinly spread mayo on both slices of bread, pile chips high between the two slices of bread. Smush.

Version 2: wheat bread, mayo, and BBQ Lays or KC Masterpiece BBQ chips
(same directions)

Grape soda and orange soda mixed, or orange soda and rootbeer mixed.

Steak fries or homestyle fries (the thick kind) used to spoon cole slaw.

Starbuck's Java Chip ice cream on warm pumpkin pie.

A note on garlic: It's also great to stop colds. As soon as I feel a cold coming on, I bake a head of garlic at 350' for an hour until it's soft inside, then peel, mash the cloves and spread on bread. It has a sweet nutty flavor then. I've never tried the lemon butter with it, but it sounds yummy.

The Stoner Sammich

Thought I'd add this one too:

Two slices white bread
Hershey's chocolate syrup
Cocoa crunchies cereal

Marshmallows and potato chips optional.

Never eaten it, but I have laughed my ass off while watching others pig down on it. :D

I grew up with my grandmother baby-sitting me for the better part of the day.

Nothing like a cup of herbal tea and a cream cheese and jelly sandwich to start the day.

:p

Frosted Cherry Poptarts with sharp cheddar cheese. (Sort of a cheese sandwich with Poptarts (tm) in place of bread.
