The idea of having the two of them here is wonderful, but my knee HUCKING FURTS!

You have my sympathies! After the epidural wore off, my knee felt like someone had pooured broken glass, kerosene, and angry wasps inside my knee and set them on fire. The painkillers? Worked about as well as tylenol did, and made me a little sleepy. Yay. So I took tylenol and only grabbed the heavy stuff when I needed a nap.

Oddly enough, the worst thing about the whole business wasn't the pain. It was the nerve weirdness that happened due to various nerves getting severed and damaged during the surgery. I had all kinds of bizarre phantom sensations for quite a while. Waking up in the middle of the night and feeling something cold and tingly crawling on your leg is disconcerting. Having it still be there when you brush your hand across said knee is even more disconcerting.

Then again, maybe it would just feel like your tarantula *shrug*

He emailed me shortly after he posted them to tell me they were up & that he'd be leaving my cd with Al. That was the same way Al explained to me that things were gonna go that day, so hopefully everyone else will leave theirs with him too. I dont wanna be TOO impatient since my photos seem to take longer than everyone elses to fix up!

And if in fact Al does end up with a cd (or cds) it would be really awesome if he could bring them to your house for the next potluck!
