Hello all. I'm new to writing on Lit, and while I've written quite a bit of adult stories in my time, I'm having some trouble deciding what to write about next.

I have some ideas for a few Dom/Sub stories encasing some of my fantasies and a made up Dom and a Sub based off myself. These would probably end up being a series of stories.

I also am thinking about doing a control one that is actually a story about a girl who's boyfriend invites his friends over without telling her and they end up gangbanging.

That last one could also be made a dom/sub story. If you could give me some opinions, I would be most thankful.

Hola! ld. I'm replying because you're a virgin and you have a name that calls for attention. So, welcome here.

Your query is too widely spread, can't respond to it, but will suggest you check out the BDSM section in stories and see what people are doing.

regards, Perdita

Well thank you Perdita. I was trying to keep it open, that way I wouldn't be limiting myself to anything. I just am in the mood to write for the stories sections, and I'm not sure which kind to write. Once I have some suggestions as to what people would like to see written I am going to start narrowing things down.

Dear LD,
Usually three to five days. It may be as long as a week if there are many submissions.
Helpfully,
MG

Write whatever you have passion for, ld. The writing is the important part. If it's good, people will read it. If it's not good, people will read it and send you nasty feedback.

MathGirl will explain the voting process if you ask nicely.

ld: Perhaps you are mistaking the authors for the readers. "We" certainly have our likes and dislikes but compared to the general readership on Lit. I think we're a very small group. If you really do want to direct your writing to 'us' then say that and perhaps people will respond.

Perdita

p.s. You are free to ignore MG (for now; she does try to be helpful but at times gets ahead of herself, and others).

Gosh, Zack, you still have much to learn here.

best, Perdita

Dear LD,
I think you have put the four wheeled conveyance ahead of the equine. It might be wise to write the story first, then decide on the category.

Ps. Perdita, Oh, gosh! Did I do it again?

She is an odd bird at times, but we still kind of adore her.

Anyway darkling, may i suggest a request for such suggestions in the Story Ideas forum.

But my best suggestion is to look at what are the most common themes in the category that interrest you, and try to steer clear of writing just like everybody else. Try out new, unexplored ideas and perspecives. That will make your stories much more interresting to read than if you write what the focus group tells you. Who cares if it isn't what most pepole like to read? It'll be uniquely yours.

MG: the equine metaphor was very helpful, not to mention tasteful.

However, do we have an established policy on the matter. What if one writes the story first, asks how long it will take to get posted after submittal, then after a satisfactory two or three dozen answers begins the next thread asking about category?

I'm confused now. Is there a policy? Will you make one up?

pleadingly, Perdita

p.s. Yes, you boobie, you did it again. Good grief, but you're forgiven, again!

Wow... I didn't realise that there was such a forum. Looks like I should look more closely eh? I haven't figured out the complete setup yet.

If a man says something and there are no women around to hear it, its obviously not worth hearing.

My God! Punctuation, man. Punctuation!

Dear Perdita,
Well, that's obviously the logical and correct procedure. It's practically unheard of around here, though.
MG
Ps. I'm saving up those forgivenesses for when I need them.

In response, my son tells me that it's well known that:
If a man says something and there are no women around to hear it, it's still wrong.

Well, you can always go over to MG's vocab thread instead of the dictionary. :p
