I was banned for 14 days by bama1963 for reporting someone for underage play but not having a screenshot to back up my claim. How can I take a screenshot of a window I closed? How can I be expected to know how to file a report? He said I refused to provide a screenshot and basically called me an accomplice to the act. How am I an accomplice? I FUCKING REPORTED IT!!!! Get your head out of your ass Bama.

I can't speak to anything in your post except admin approval.

This is something mods do NOT control. It's the new admin (the owners) way to stop all the repeated spam and bots. First-time posters will go through it, so you're not really special.

And like barefootgirl said above, this measure has everything to do with protecting the site and members from spam and nothing to do with dissenting opinions.

and why would we care if you posted with your alternate account? it just helps us to know to ban it if you come back to chat with it. And look at you using big words.

Shall we break that down?

A dissident is a person who strongly disagrees with and publicly criticizes an established government, ruling political party, religious institution, or societal norm.

Now...we are not an established government as much as the dipshits who try and claim we are oppressing thier right to free speech. while yes you can say what ever you like...this is a privately owned website and if you say something stupid there will be consequences. The right to free speech means the government cannot arrest you for speaking your mind...but it does not mean there will be no consequnces for your words. (As a Canadian it is astonishing to me how many times I have to explain this to americans)
We are not a ruling political party as the mods are from differing countries and not every one lives in the US like many may think.

and we are certainly not a religion..I am unaware of any of the mods that regularly attend any kind of church, temple or mosque. But I could be wrong but thats none of my business unless they wish to share thier beliefs but the ones I speak to on a semi regular basis do not go out of thier way to speak with chatters about it.

And that leaves societal norms..and since we are not in salem in the 1600's we are not going to believe you when you simply point and say "witch!" we need proof and we have the ability to take screen shots with our devices because as the old saying go's a picture is worth a thousand words. But all you have is words and so far your argument does not compel me to believe you.

as for sun maids helpful lesson on semantics, i find all of that a cheerful diversion from the actual facts of the matter. a user came to a mod with a complaint, was spoken to rudely instead of being met with the appropriate decorum of a community arbiter, and then expected to follow through with evidence even though the user had clearly said they closed the window and lost the offending messages, and had no desire to pursue it further.

for that, they were banned.

if that is how you want to run things here, fine. as you so defensively say, this place is all yours to interpret the rules on, and i do not begrudge that. however, wilful reframing of the facts of the matter and hiding behind ‘temu mean girls’ sass is not very compelling.

I spoke very politely to the user, they didn't care for what I had to say. The facts of the issues haven't been ignored, people have a difference of opinion. If someone does not like a thing, that's their right, but that doesn't mean the information is wrong or misrepresented. Anyone can message me as they like regarding any issue. If I've already spoken about it I won't respond, but I will otherwise do my best to provide information.

i am merely offering a perspective on the timeline of events, and looking at the evidence that was so helpfully provided.

i. user ‘sudha’, that sun maid has helpfully shared with the class, was allegedly discussing something forbidden.

ii. albertarancher (a.b.), a user who i assume has been in good standing since twenty-fourteen, brought it up to bama, the actual individual this and many other threads here is about.

iii. a.b. was asked to offer proof. not pictured, but i see no valid reason to disbelieve they did not explain that they had closed the window on encountering the offending solicitation, and could not.

iv. a.b. was then compelled to reengage with ‘sudha’ after this fact, and i quote “if you want her banned supply me with screenshot proof”

v. a.b. declined to do so, was called an ‘accomplice’, and banned.


i invite you elucidate us on the ‘difference of opinion’ you hold. i am aware the rules here are loosely written at best, and the selective way they are acted upon is entirely at the pleasure of the staff. however, we have a discussion here, and it is my opinion that bama deciding that when being informed of the solicitation of underaged incest/fetish conversation the right thing to do was to punish the person who brought it up, and then accuse them of being an accomplice. as sun maid enjoys semantics, would she like to explain to bama what an accomplice was?

is this new policy others could expect, when raising concerns with the rest of the moderation team, or is it only bama who is a risk to approach with a problem?
