Los Angeles is working on getting 100% recycled water online in the near future. Miami is working on de-stalinization as an option to the infiltration of rising sea water compromising it's fresh water supplies.

Life as we know it comes to a grinding halt without a few basic things....water is at the top of the list.

None of this, the increasingly critical state of available fresh water, is a surprise. What is surprising is the party like nature of govt and citizens alike when it comes to water usage in the face of dwindling water supplies both from excessive water usage(no reducing, reusing or recycling what so ever) coupled with the dramatic changes in weather patterns due to climate change and see level rise in coastal areas.

So what's the answer?

No water crisis in MN.

It's not "climate change"....it's just life in a desert.

If you want to live where there is more water? Don't live in the desert...you fucking retards.

Most of Minnesota was in drought between October and March.

Shows what you know.

I have seven water butts holding 2,500 litres.

My water company encourages the use of water butts.

They have been planning a new reservoir for thirty years. It might be built in the next decade.

Most local houses are on a water meter and usage has dropped by 18%. Mending mains water leaks and upgrading the mains network is a priority.

Move out of the cities. There is no infrastructure to support the population and it is wildly inefficient.

Drought is a relative term, we still have one of the largest freshwater supplies on the planet.

He'll claim to have had a bumper crop during those months.

Yea, it's called irrigation, mankind figured it out about 8000 years ago.

We have ground wells and gravity feed systems too!!!!

Shit I can control my greenhouse with my phone via a satellite in outer-fuckin'-space.

Welcome to 2021 Luk!! :D We've also harnessed the power of FIRE....LOL

But without the (D)'s to wipe their ass and rob the more productive members of society how will you and all the comrades survive???

Without dinner showing up in your driver side window and a welfare check to pay for it you'll all fucking STARVE TO DEATH. :D

Many cities have changed their sewer systems so that wastewater is separated from stormwater. That makes a big difference in the processes needed to produce tap water.

However, a lot of places haven’t been able to afford that change. Congress is working on it. https://thehill.com/policy/energy-e...ntroduce-35-billion-water-infrastructure-bill

Yeah, Philadelphia did a lot of it's sewage and storm water systems....this cam e about via the Clean Water Act which requires the entire US to capture sewage water and treat it

Philadelphia does still have a tertiary system for rain deluges which then overflows back into rivers and streams.

Philadelphia has a National model for water treatment, which could then be used to produce fresh drinking water. We haven't gone that route yet since water issues have not hit crisis levels here yet.

This is a good idea. I've done a bunch of rain tanks this year. Also, re-writing the water/outline codes, where it's possible, to allow grey water to flowing back into tanks or the outside ground at the end users location. It would require toilets to remain hooked to sewage but all other water usage could actually stay on site and be allowed to perculate back into the water table.

Vs. What is done now..all water used.to the treatment plant and then to rivers and out to the sea...where it's unusable for period of time

It's import to know global water cycles and how long water takes to go from salt oceans to inland rain deposits and then captured by people via rivers or aquafer (this cycle is often over hundreds if not thousands of years).

We? The US doesn't own Lake Superior...

I didn't say it did.

But even if I had, and our two nations went at it over the lakes, how long do you think you would last in that fight?? 3...maybe 4 hours?? :D

He means "he"....that I'm sure of. Good thing he is a one in a billion idiot.

No, you're full of shit, same as always WillJ. I mean we, just as I said.

You should leave the mind reading up to Rob, he at least tries to make his bullshit semi-plausible.

Yes you did, what do you think the collective term of "We" represents.

Learn how to write, and express yourself, there was guy here a few years back, went by the name Botanyboy, and while I didn't agree with his opinions, he could at least express them in an understandable way.

AS to your call out for violence, well nothing new there, you have been banned several times for promoting violence.

And look at what has happened to the Aral Sea.

It is being gradually replenished - in part, but it was the worst water disaster the world has seen.

Yes, people who place an ownership on natural resources, and extort them, thinking they are so large, it won't matter if we dam/divert up a few rivers....

Russians wasn't it?

A group of people....

https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/we

Notice nowhere in the definition of 'we' is the concept of ownership anywhere to be found.

So no I didn't. No matter how BADLY you want to inject your own meanings into things out of convenience.

Projects the guy who just got shit on for trying to redefine terms to suit his narrative

What' call out for violence? Pointing out that your nation wouldn't last a single day against mine in a fight isn't a promotion or 'call out' for violence.

Learn to read son.

Progressive Soviets ;)

Yes, diverted two rivers and used up a lot of water for "irrigation" for agriculture.

Very short sighted....the only good thing about having such an idiot comment constantly is he makes the best points as to why we as humans/Govt's should not do such insanely idiotic things like drain the Aral Sea or like what's happening on Lake Powell, Colorado River and more.

It is Locust like behavior and at about the same intelligence level.

But if Governments don't control it, how will you keep humans away from it??

Awww.....jackbooted commie is being mentally mugged by reality.

You can't have your "progress" without some goon with an AK-47 forcing it.

That's why your an authoritarian piece of shit. :D just like the "progressive" scum who destroyed the Aral Sea.

Strong environmental laws that require paying for resources in "real" costs. Substancial Fines for those that don't comply then used to pay for renewables.

Yes, you have to pay the state for the right to access natural resources.

Can't afford the breathing tax?? Off to prison.

And that's how you throw 50 million people into gulags. :D

Comrade approved!!!
