Unfinished story needs an ending!!!

Someone has to help out with this one. Its a great story, but it was never finished:

Who wrote the story in the first place? That's the person who has to finish it. No one else can. Even if someone else was inspired to "help out", well, there are ethical issues involved with "helping" someone else's intellectual property, which is just another euphemism for "copyright infringement", which itself is just another euphemism for "theft". Besides, they'd probably get it wrong; it's rare that two authors come up with identical creative visions independently.

So you need to track down the original author; and you'll have to be prepared to accept that s/he might have given up on the story, or moved on to other projects, or moved on to another stage in their life, such as marriage, legitimacy or death. If you just want someone to finish it, as them to give permission for the copyright infringement. If you want it done right, you'll need to start a letter-writing campaign, because one lone reader's voice in the wilderness doesn't mean much.
