Well, it does sorta beat the alternative way of thinking, which is "Tomorrow's gonna suck and we're all going to die anyway"

Right now, my calendar is showing me a Far Side cartoon that has a bunch of monsters standing around, with one of them holding a record album cover titled "The Best of Little Kids Screaming".

The cartoon caption reads:

"Later, when one of the monsters cranked up the volume, the party really got going".
