When I was younger, I frequently developed crushes on guys I met in various places. The napkin-drawing artist who hung out the local tavern. The brother of a roommate. A distant cousin. A coworker (o.k., several of them). A local politician who knocked on my door. My husband's boss. Etc.
But as I have... matured... it has been a few years since I've had a real-life crush.
Recently I met a man, a decade older than me, somewhat eccentric, who lives in my area and belongs to a community organization to which I also belong.
He's very smart and has career and other interests similar to mine. We have mutual acquaintances.
I cannot decide if I would rather spend an evening talking with him or... not that anything will ever happen. But it makes life a little more fun and interesting. It makes me exercise a bit harder, take a bit more time with my appearance, and yes... masturbate a bit more often.
I'd love to hear about other people's real-life crushes.
